(USS WASP, and two others.WASP is very similar to the ESSEX and BONNIE RICHARD, over in SASEBO.)
Ive trained with them.Never thought I'D need or my area would need heros like that, like I trained to be. Maybe I was supposed....well a lot of things were supposed to be in SASEBO. I cant change what happened when I transfered to the IKE.
INGRATEFUL BASTARDS comes to mind but I will save the insults. The NAVY is ran from BIG NAVY, a ADMIRAL in DC who cares more about WARmonging than PEACE it seems.Even amongst the ranks.
What is soon to come will mirror what happened in BANDE ACEH, for those that dont know, heavy downpours hit the area in the Philipines very hard massive landslides occured, many homes and people were wiped out.(2005) I still have pics from there (no I dont keep the gory shots, but thanks for the view)
I was there, aboard the ESSEX, much like those three ships coming here to New York/Jersey areas. I was on deck loading helocopters and people...unloading the ammo crates to replace them with blankets and rags and such. Congress says it wasnt OIF, I beg to differ. They also say we didnt earn the humanitarian award TWICE, AGAIN, I beg to differ.I WAS ON DECK.
You cant HELP PEOPLE in DIRE NEED by whatever means necessary and NOT get that award.EVERY person on deck, between decks, counts.EVERY ONE.
WHOEVER said ONE PERSON CANT make a difference was LYING. ONE is a part of a TEAM, which gets the JOB DONE.
Yes, this isnt some 'just paint the walls mission' at some School which will get slammed with water and high tides later on.(why they dont use Latex paint, I dont know) THIS is REALLY SAVING PEOPLE. REBUILDING PLACES.
MOVING the very items(FOOD,WATER, gatorade,MAIL,supplies(all sorts)) Ive moved or helped move(including cargo nets, as basic as that sounds, its very useful).

Very sad to see the loss of life, the loss of home. This is the first apartment Ive actually had to my name in years. SHARED or NOT. And NO, we didnt get hit. YES, we HAVE POWER.
Ive slept on the side of the road, in the shelters. BELIEVE ME, NEW YORKERS are taking it EASY. In SAN DIEGO they will practically pick fights with you,assault you, just to get you kicked out of the shelter.(YES, this happened to me.AT FATHER JOEs VILLAGE. Still yet to see an official responce from the place.)And from what Ive heard BEFORE SANDY, NYC has the worst shelter record of any as far as violent crimes and theft.
BUT THIS IS SANDY, and most of us know better now. I HOPE. Theres enough news coverage, I think if theres violence in these shelters, someone would catch wind of it.
This is a collected effort. Many are still like those in SAN DIEGO.
MANY have lost everything. SOME dont know what thats like.I know ALL too well.
I had something to fight for, to live for. HEIDI, LOVE, and THIS ASCENSION. PEACE TREATY in my pokcet the entire time(I had to reprint it, but its out the door as soon as my feet will allow).Not everybody DOES. NOT everybody knows WHERE to turn for HELP.
I cant change a shelter. I cant change NEW YORK(or whereever) WE have to do it TOGETHER.

Will the supply on the barge be enough? No, I dont think so. JP5(military grade
DIESEL) wont work for cars. The bridges are FLOODED, you cant DRIVE GAS in.

I only hope people can carpool or take the bus/train or HUFF it. GOD gave you legs for a reason.USE EM!

If you know anyone on these ships, let them know what you need. They will be carrying HEAVY DREDGING and other EQUIPMENT that cant be DRIVEN in as well. AND YES, it all JAMS in there with all those MARINES too. (doesnt leave much room,though)
Eventually we will have to rebuild or move INLAND(as I suggest some of you do)
