In light of his ruling, I think it should be mandatory for US District Judge James Boasberg to relocate his residence to the Standing Rock Sioux Nation Reservation for a minimum period of 5 years and to spend 80% of his time there. It's possible that he might reconsider his position if he lived close to the pipeline.

Does Judge Boasberg think that the Sioux First Nations members would intentionally contaminate their water by malicious intent (harming the pipeline)? Does he think they would make the considerable effort they have gone to to protect their water supply from a contamination threat that doesn't exist? Does he think they would endure being hosed down in freezing temperatures, hosed down with mace and bear spray and hit with rubber bullets because they're bored?

Does Energy Transfer Partners record of pipeline failures mean nothing? How does it come about that the interests of corporations take precedence over the rights of the citizens of a country. This is especially puzzling in light of the astonishing growth of alternative energy sources all around the world that do not destroy the environment and the increasing challenge of extracting the dying resource of oil. Perhaps North America is about to be left behind, to wallow in the mud of its destroyed environments.
