Solar Update
Solar activity is currently fairly low. Only low level C-Class flares have been detected since the M1.0 event early Friday morning. Sunspot 1459 rotated onto the western limb and out of direct Earth view. At the same time, a couple of new sunspot regions rotated into view off the southeast limb. These regions were numbered 1470 and 1471 on Saturday. A coronal mass ejection (CME) was observed Friday afternoon off the southwest limb. This was directed to the west and not towards Earth.
