I can say from my own experience this is a great swap for fluoride-based toothpastes!
I have just been using baking soda and coconut oil and it works well. I recently tried sticking a few cloves in the solution; not sure if they are doing anything but it may help the overall oral health, since cloves are awesome in their own right.

I actually make and use this toothpaste (without the DE) and adding peppermint oil. It really does work well, tastes good,and is easy to make. Highly recommend it!
