After eruption on Saturday, activity intensified at Ecuadorian volcano Tungurahua on Sunday, March 10, 2013. It spewed glowing ash and pyroclastic material 1.24 miles (about 2 km) into the air, reported CBS12. The head of the risk unit for the nearby municipality of Banos del Agua Santa, Javier Mayorga said; as a precautionary measure, access to the area around the volcano had been restricted. The record for the longest stretch of hot weather in Melbourne has been broken.
The temperature has been above 30 degrees Celsius for nine days in a row.
The weather bureau's James Taylor says it breaks the previous record set in February 1961.

Hackers have published what are alleged to be the personal financial records for several politicians and celebrities, including US Vice President Joe Biden, Attorney General Eric Holder and musicians Jay-Z and Beyoncé.
Gossip website TMZ reported on Monday that hackers have leaked sensitive information pertaining to a list of prominent Americans, including celebrities Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, Mel Gibson and Ashton Kutcher, as well as public figures Joe Biden, Robert Mueller, Hillary Clinton, Eric Holder and LAPD Chief Charlie Beck, but elected to not share the information with their audience.

Toxic red tide has killed a record number of endangered manatees along the Southwest Florida coast.
With no sign of when the deadly algae bloom might abate, the preliminary death toll of 174 is likely to continue rising, state and federal wildlife managers said Monday. The number already has topped a previous red tide high of 151 in 1996.

On the night of February 24, 1942, an incident that has come to be called "The Battle of Los Angeles" erupted in the California sky. It happened less than three months after the U.S. had entered WW2.
An unidentified flying object was spotted, air raid sirens sounded, and a blackout was ordered. By the end of the "battle," over 1400 anti-aircraft shells (12.8 pounds each) had been fired at the object but the 37th Coast Artillery Brigade could not bring it down.
Several buildings were damaged by friendly fire, three civilians were killed by the anti-aircraft fire, and another three died of heart attacks attributed to the stress of the hour-long bombardment. (I adapted this information from Wikipedia.)

Vegetation growth at Earth's northern latitudes increasingly resembles lusher latitudes to the south, according to a NASA-funded study based on a 30-year record of land surface and newly improved satellite data sets.
An international team of university and NASA scientists examined the relationship between changes in surface temperature and vegetation growth from 45 degrees north latitude to the Arctic Ocean. Results show temperature and vegetation growth at northern latitudes now resemble those found 4 degrees to 6 degrees of latitude farther south as recently as 1982.

We must not try to persuade others to see our views, but rather engage others and inspire in them the desire to leave their security of the familiar behind and venture forth into searching their world for a clearer understanding of the truth and igniting their eagerness to know more! Persuasion creates a wall people put up from feeling pressured into something. Instead,we need to guide people to a place where they feel in control of what is being offered to them and that they are the ones reaching out longing to know more and are not being preached to. It is a fine line to walk but a very critical one to get right!

There is a feeling of pressure in the air, as if something is about to (or needs to) burst, explode or release. You may be physically feeling this as a pressure on your chest (heart area). Emotionally you might be feeling like you’re on a short fuse, walking on a thin wire between keeping it together and feeling utterly frazzled.
Visually I’m seeing a huge amount of ‘new energy’ coming in and compressing the ‘old’ energy, forcing it up (from under the carpet) and out. This is a positive thing, but depending which part of the wave you are surfing in any given moment it can feel either very suffocating and restrictive, or incredibly exciting and liberating. There is no right or wrong with whatever you’re feeling. The fact of the matter is that everything that is not harmonious with the world we are here to create is being pushed up into greater awareness right now.

The report, which covers the recently-concluded "meteorological winter" from Dec. 1 through Feb. 28, shows that 2012-13 was the 20th-warmest winter of the past 118 for the Lower 48. It was also a relatively wet winter, placing 25th-wettest since 1895-96.
Only four states had "near normal" temperatures, defined as the middle one-third of the historical range, according to the NCDC report. Six states were cooler than normal, all of them in the Southwest. None of those states placed among their ten coldest winters.

For many of you, the upheavals you have been experiencing lately, indeed are maybe still in the midst of, will signal an important departure from much of what you have looked upon as an integral part of your life. For now, everything that does not serve you anymore will be slowly but surely extracted from your life, but as most of these things have very deep roots indeed, it will not be a very swift process. You see, much of this are issues that have been allowed to bury themselves deep, deep within your psyche in some way, and as such, this extraction process will not be without its challenges. For, as we have talked about so many times earlier, your whole human set up has been designed in such a way it craves stability more than anything, and now, that is the last thing you can expect. So these bouts of energetic cleanups coming in now will have you all tossing and turning from all of this intense removal, so the very ground beneath your feet will seem to be less than stable at times too.

Star gazers should prepare to potentially see Comet Pan-STARRS this week.
The Pan-STARRS comet, officially known as C/2012 L4 made its debut in the night time sky on March 7, 2013.
Although the comet was at its brightest on March 10 when it was closest to the sun, the comet will be close to the crescent moon Tuesday and Wednesday night. This could provide astronomers and star gazers the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the comet.

The 460-foot asteroid 2013 ET is seen through a Slooh Space Camera telescope in the Canary Islands on March 9, 2013, during its close approach to Earth. The asteroid was just within 600,000 miles of Earth.
In the last seven days, an asteroid 131 feet across and three smaller space rocks have zoomed safely by Earth, the latest demonstration that we live in a solar system that some scientists have dubbed a "cosmic shooting gallery."
All four asteroid flybys occurred between March 4 and March 10. The asteroids were also all discovered this month, some just days ago.

You may think that the part of the world you live in is small. You live on a block in a town. You know a few people. Daily you travel a short distance. Your world seems to be as big as the place where you work, where the boss is king. You don’t see how you possibly impact the world at large.
First of all, despite appearances, you do not live in a separate part of the world. The world is a whole, and you live in the whole of it. You are not a speck in the Universe. You impact ten thousand miles away as much as you impact your next-door neighbor. Of course, depending where you live, you may not know your next-door neighbor’s name, and you don’t see how you can possibly impact your neighbor anymore than you can impact a stranger ten thousand miles away.
