Hold on, when claiming: "Converting water into hydrogen is 100 percent clean!" that is not true at all, at least not the way it is done today. Hydrogen is a by-product of oil refineries. Sure we can make it in a bathtub but not in mass-produced levels. Hydrogen manufacturing is extremely intensive and in the ways we do it today, pollutes a lot. Plus, hydrogen fuel cars are 66% efficient, well to wheel. Pure electric cars using solar energy are 88% to 96% efficient and cleaners.
