I had wondered for a long time why the ancient egyptians, when they mummified a body, took the heart and other organs and preserved them in canopic jars but threw the brain away.

Wow, you are right sister. According to some writings, the Egyptians did not know how to preserve the brain or either they pulled it out thru the nostrils and it was then no good, so they assumed. You know what they say about assuming. hehehehe. . Im greatful for now knowing the truth. Thanks for sharing my siblings.
