Pipeline Police Strip Search Native Girl, Then Leave Her Naked In Jail Overnight

It's appalling what the oil industry is doing to the environment and the people who live in those environments. When those people are First Nations peoples, the abuse gets even worse. It is totally unacceptable that the police, who are supposed to be protecting all citizens, instead protects the oil industry by impeding and stopping citizen protests against the oil industry. Arresting and charging people for protesting, for reporting on the situation, and even people who are nearby, is inappropriate behavior by police, who should be protecting the citizen's right to free speech.

It's time for the politicians, who are supposed to be leading the countries of the world on behalf of their citizens, to get out of the pockets of the wealthy (individuals, corporations and religions) and start doing their jobs, and to quit using the police as militia against their own voters. It's time for the police to go back to doing their real jobs. Truly, if so many of us feel unsafe, we might just as well have anarchy.
