So who's protecting who here? People are unhappy and make demands. Demands are either not heard, not met and blamed on "the system is too complicated". It's understood that the system is convoluted beyond common sense and the reason why we vote for representatives to "fix" the obvious problem. Representatives can't fix the system, people get more frustrated and instead of representing the people who elected them, they consider their own safety before those who voted for them? Yikes, surely this doesn't answer the real problm's solutions.

I'm not the only one to see the folly in this strategy. The slope has been dangerous for decades and this is creating an even bigger schism between natural people and representatives.

A little bit of history review should fix most problems. But this is downright dangerous for everyone. In the long run, you can cut all the flowers you want, springtime comes around nonetheless.
