Monika arrived to office before noon. The work backlog was little for today; after holiday the most important was to check the fridge and its content of biscuits, tea and make the detail plan for buying some other stuff. Many guests come in for a visit here; Ice with Veronika will certainly pop in today.
Monika went to kitchen, prepared few plates with biscuits, cleaned dust from windows parapets, mopped the floor, set up the boiler with water. ‘Nice day,’ she thought, ‘and I’d try to be objective, no bending rules, when the weather is good - it is good. How that connects with art? Innocence of the artist varies like weather. Art like weather could mean a lots of alternatives.’
From second floor of the office Monika could observe large panorama of several streets and kaleidoscopic play of sun rays on the roofs tiles; she often engages in mindless observations over the window, the traffic on the street below, she thinks, is inspiring. She doesn’t set her expectations astronomically high, some days in the office are interesting, some are dull. There is little value in assuming that her work is interesting; fundamentally assumptions are only assumptions, but she writes articles, edits environmental publication, meets guests, has lots of time to spare and even can walk the dog in adjacent park.

Ice and Veronika arrived. They were wearing a bright fashions with prevailing green, it sort of instinctive solutions, however Monika wouldn’t really define what she thinks is the important difference in fashion styles going around; at least one can be certain- lately, both girls prefer colourful high heel shoes.
‘I know you understand his maneuvering. He talks lots about alternatives, they are full of rational arguments and sometimes defy academic stereotypes,’ Ice said while unpacking her bag on Monika’s desk. ‘This article is cute, have a look, It’s neither confirming or denying the beliefs about vacuum, but I guess, for a time being it’s the safest…’
‘OK, I’ll look into this; nothing goes astray in my office…‘ Monika said. ‘I’d try to be impartial about it but it’s all OK, I believe in his good intentions.’
‘He’s gone through tonnas studies in chemistry, biology and physics and seems hasn’t lost his soul; most certainly is free of illusions…’ Ice said and walked away. She joined Veronika in the kitchen to prepare snacks and tea.
