What is my role?

Submitted by lemme howdt on Mon, 10/07/2013 - 07:45

To be light and reflect transparency

To explain in a form that tells a new tale

To uphold truth and congregate knowledge

To learn while teaching, to teach while learning

To conquer fear with love for peace

To be the light at the end of the tunnel, for those who follow

To answer to the divine and strive to be better

To scribe, to think, to dream with imagination

               what if ...

Give Love A Try

Submitted by yourgypsysoul on Mon, 12/17/2012 - 08:19

Note: I am not usually into writing poetry but I was guided this morning to write this poem. I received confirmation that my guides and angels were working together with me on this when I unknowingly posted it on my blog at precisely 11:11. Feel free to share freely, with proper credit. Love & Light, Rach

my heart is breaking
the angels cry
a nation is mourning
questioning why

answers won’t come easy
some may never be found
for now, we can open our hearts
to let the sorrow drown

we can argue about guns
and we can argue about motives
yet all the while
families and friends speak votives

my heart is breaking
and the angels cry
what difference could I be making?
my mind gives no reply

it’s no small feat
to fix a world broken
but i’ll start small, and
continue until everyone has woken

it’s a fact i know that
true change starts within
so i’ll start with a smile
and call everyone my friend

and someday i know
this philosphy will expand
to include one and all
in each and every land

my heart is mending
the angels tears are dry
we’re all in this together
let’s give Love a try

Thanksgiving Poem

Submitted by yourgypsysoul on Wed, 11/21/2012 - 07:28

I've never been religious at all, but I was recently inspired to write some sort of prayer up for our family's Thanksgiving tomorrow. In looking for inspiration on the web, I came across this poem which brought tears (of joy and Love) to my eyes so I thought I'd share. I am planning to read it followed by a prayer before we eat.

Thanksgiving by Ella Wheeler Wilcox

We walk on starry fields of white
And do not see the daisies,
For blessings common in our sight
We rarely offer praises.
We sigh for some supreme delight
To crown our lives with splendour,
And quite ignore our daily store
Of pleasures sweet and tender.

Our cares are bold and push their way
Upon our thought and feeling;
They hang about us all the day,
Our time from pleasure stealing.
So unobtrusive many a joy
We pass by and forget it,
But worry strives to own our lives,
And conquers if we let it.

There’s not a day in all the year
But holds some hidden pleasure,
And, looking back, joys oft appear
To brim the past’s wide measure.
But blessings are like friends, I hold,
Who love and labour near us.
We ought to raise our notes of praise
While living hearts can hear us.

Full many a blessing wears the guise
Of worry or of trouble;
Far-seeing is the soul, and wise,
Who knows the mask is double.
But he who has the faith and strength
To thank his God for sorrow
Has found a joy without alloy
To gladden every morrow.

We ought to make the moments notes
Of happy, glad Thanksgiving;
The hours and days a silent phrase
Of music we are living.
And so the theme should swell and grow
As weeks and months pass o’er us,
And rise sublime at this good time,
A grand Thanksgiving chorus.

'Under the Blue Moon, In the night garden' (a poem)

Submitted by Madame Butterfly on Fri, 08/31/2012 - 09:59

We sat under the blue moon,

In the night garden.

A breeze as soft as the lake water

Stroked us like silk,

Soft as the wings of a fairy,

Sweet as the breath of an angel,

And the moonlight washed away our sorrows,

Chased away our fears,

Bathed away the pain of the past,

Whilst we talked of many things...

Dreams of the Pleiades - 'On A Distant World' (Poem)

Submitted by Madame Butterfly on Wed, 08/29/2012 - 07:41

'On a distant world

In the sky up above,

I see the lights shimmer,

I feel a great love.

Seven sisters are dancing

Their blue halos surround,

There my true love is waiting-

There my twin flame is found....'

Gather Round The Violet Flame
Whilst I spin this tale
Of beings of light and glory
That ended up in jail

Upon this prison planet
Darkness claimed the throne
The light retreated from this space
So truth remained unknown

The existence of a realm
Outside of time and space
Where beings of light and glory
Dreamed of a humane race

Magnificent though they were
They longed for even more
So they created space and time
And opened heaven's door

Roses in the Snow

Roses in the Snow by Glynn

Serenity Resident

When I was young, Not yet old enough to realize

I would ask my Mom, Just what is rarest prize

She'd wink then reply: You must wait until the fallen snow

And then as you walk, Look for the roses that bloom below

Last night I was awakened by a brilliant hue.

Not the sky but the heavens were shakened by this cerulean blue

Across this path of nocturnal shade was you in the corner of the room

Bathed in a light that will never fade was my cherished blossom in full bloom
