What's that sound?

I wondered what it was.

What's that sound?

I've heard it before.

Kids playing? Today? In the middle of that day? Covid-19 fearful adults lining up at supermarkets? When was the last time I heard kid laughter?

Walking the dogs I heard something I couldn't make out. Like birds chirping, an unadulterated cacophony of fun. I couldn't wrap my head around. I couldn't understand what it was until I saw them. Three kids, belly laughing, riding their skateboards on their stomachs on the sidewalks. It was surreal. They weren't on their so-called smartphones. They're too smart for that :) They were playing. Real playing! They were using their digits, body, and legs to have fun outside. They were simply having fun, the way we gray-haired folks used to when we were young ones.

A half-hour later, it got better. There were now four. A young girl tagged along. The leader had a bike. He pulled two boys on their stomach riding their skateboard and the young girl joined.

When was the last time I heard that?

Living Life with Porpoise ; )

Ever watch the way dolphins swim through the water? How they come up for breaths, and go back under, up and down, up and down,  almost like a wave of themselves as they swim? That breath at the surface that they are taking is voluntary; in fact they have to will the blowhole to open, not like us where the breathing is automatic. In water, open blowholes would take water in on dives, so everything is forceably blown OUT, and then quickly breathed IN. This way of swimming is called porpoising, as there are no other creatures that swim quite like this.

Dolphins live in two realms: beneath the surface of the water, but also some time is spent above in the process of getting air and breathing.

Humans are like this also. We have Spirit that we need to take in, and is a part of every cell in our body. Think of it like oxygen but like the life-giving gas, Spirit is something essential that we need and also cannot see. When we breathe, Spirit is coming in to us just like air. I am not sure exactly how our light body and our Vibration processes it, but it is so.

Like the dolphin bound to life in water, humans are bound through the body to life on Earth. We need food, light, shelter, and our society to survive. Dolphins have a highly evolved social structure too.

The point of this blog post is to emphasize the importance of play. Dolphins are seen swimming, breathing, hunting and eating but always having fun. If you look at them they are always smiling!

Remember to bring genuine pleasure and play into your daily activities. Not the 'fun' like going to the movies and a club. But real fun, like the way Weird Al Yankovic raises his eyebrows at the camera to make us laugh.

Inter-Dimensional Energy Surfing

For the past week I have been popping in and out of the fifth dimension. When I go 5D, everything around me seems flat, sort of phony like an old movie set, and far away. It is sort of like an out-of-body experience where you are looking down at yourself, but I am in myself and looking at the 3-dimensional reality I just the last moment was in.

The longest one was when I was walking down the hall of the OR with my patient, after their surgery, taking them on the bed to PACU. I felt a connectedness and compassion to my coworkers I passed in the hall. It was like watching an old movie, comforting, but very campy and dated. Once I walked through the double doors which separate the OR from PACU, I came back to 'normal'.

At first I was a little weirded out by this. But a post by Kaui'la Pele talked about the similar experiences, with the vision going fuzzy for a short time. Others commented on having similar experiences too.As a chemical engineering student, I learned that chemical reactions always happen at the interface between two chemicals. Add a catalyst to the reactor, and the reaction will happen hundreds of times faster, on the edge. It was there that I developed a liking for being between two worlds, where the action is. I went into Medical School being excited about the skills I would gain to help people at the brink between life and death. In trauma anesthesia and especially cardiac anesthesia this is the case.

It was between undergraduate and medical school that I 'woke up' and began to discover my intuitive gifts. I began escorting souls to the Other Side in my dreamtime and my downtime as the need arose. I came up with a word for the boundary that separates us on Earth from those on Heaven: The Fence.

I have been dancing on The Fence for more than twenty years! And enjoying every minute of it. Reiki and Karuna Reiki added to the mix.
