Will Columbus Day soon be a thing of the past?
Measures are currently underway in Seattle, Washington which would abolish the holiday known as “Columbus Day” and replace it with “Indigenous Peoples’ Day”.
In the not-so-distant past, such a thing would be unthinkable, as the propagandized version of the founding of America was widely accepted until just a few years ago. In recent years, more people have been questioning the version of history that they were told in school, and have been seeking out alternative viewpoints. You were on your way home when you died.
It was a car accident. Nothing particularly remarkable, but fatal nonetheless. You left behind a wife and two children. It was a painless death. The EMTs tried their best to save you, but to no avail. Your body was so utterly shattered you were better off, trust me.
And that’s when you met me.
“What… what happened?” You asked. “Where am I?”
“You died,” I said, matter-of-factly. No point in mincing words.
“There was a… a truck and it was skidding…”
“Yup,” I said.
“I… I died?”
“Yup. But don’t feel bad about it. Everyone dies,” I said.
You looked around. There was nothingness. Just you and me. “What is this place?” You asked. “Is this the afterlife?”

“Are you god?” You asked.

A young teenage girl, who out of concern for her well being has opted to remain anonymous, claims that cannabis oil helped treat her leukemia. She was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. She had very aggressive chemotherapy transplants and marrow transplants, and none of them seemed to be working. So she and her family opted to look for alternative treatments, which is how they landed at cannabis oil.
The treatment was implemented by two doctors from Toronto, Yadvinder Sing and Chamandeep Bali. After the first dose of cannabis oil, her situation improved. Her blast cell count was improving and her red blood cell counts went up as well. Unfortunately for this young lady, the leukemia did eventually take her life. Life is long stretches and short spans. Life is remembering and forgetting. There isn’t anything that life is not. It is hilarious, and it is, also, from your timid point of view, horrific. It is a mixed bag, but is it really? Whatever you make of anything in life, it all goes down the chute anyway. Life in the world is momentary. Everything flashes before you, and everything is gone.
