Woohoo!!
Touche
You can"t top that interview, every word was the truth, and those of us who have survived our addictions must speak out and must not participate in the political charade any longer. To participate in an evil system only makes you evil, these are criminals calling themselves politicians. Russell's sense of urgency is justified, we must come together faster and rid the planet of those who would do her harm.

The essay Russell Brand wrote
The essay Russell Brand wrote in the New Statesman is one of the best political/philosophical essays I've ever read. And I've read a few.....
I'm a Fan
Russell Brand has guts. He tells the truth as he knows it and makes no apologies for his refusal to participate in a political process that is elite oriented to the exclusion of 99% of his fellow Brits. In Canada we are having a feverish debate about the behavior of Conservative appointed Senators whose gulping at the public trough has allegedly upset the ruling Conservative party who put them there in the first place. Just a few months ago the behavior of these Senators was beyond reproach and they were publicly patted on the back by Prime Minister Harper, the man who appointed them. Now he's throwing them under the bus, because the "public perception" of their behavior has turned sour in the extreme. I get why Russell doesn't vote to support the sham that is a Western democracy. The good news for Canada is that the whole population is engaged. We're finally talking about what is blatantly before us and is an obvious afront to the whole nation. And happily this conversation is not about what those "pigs at the trough" did but about the Prime Minister's incomprehensible bullying behavior and his 180 degree shift in perspective. A "Chill" has descended over our political system and the government's handling of the situation. Only the prime minister's base remains supportive and that is less than 30% of voters. The rest of us are saying W.T.F.? Let the Revolution begin!
