Fractals
These crop circles are representative of fractals. The top one is possibly related to the Suns pole reversal and magnetic energies spiralling to Earth. The image design at the end of the spiral often appears in fractals. The second crop circle looks to me like a julia / mandelbrot represented as well as can be in a crop, some of the finer details would be hard to express in that medium.
