From what I can tell the average time between solar cycles is 11.1 years. The last solar cycle started in January 2008.... So we have roughly until 2019 to wait till ascention. The shortest wait between cycles recorded to date was 9 years between cycles. So that would still be 2017. :( that was really not what I had in mind.
