Fortunately, I did find a similar system when I was in High School that virtually saved me from the grind of normal school. We had no grades, no exams, although there were tests, they were just that, test to see how well you were doing. The grading was replaced by evaluations where we would write an evaluation of how well we thought we were doing and the teacher about us.

I never saw a chair or normal desk. We had notebooks and sat on sofas. It was the most empowering experience and I learned about eastern philosophies and how to make make-shift solar turbines.
