For the 1,000th time what does imminent mean
Imminent...
Means ... coming right up as an obvious thing!

Imminent: Ready to take place; especially: hanging theateningly over one's head. Then Merriam Webster goes on to express using the FBI and Home land security???

OK. 60 years ago the definition in dictionaries did not include the "threatening" concept... and OF COURSE not anything about FBI or other....
This is a good example of how fears have been implanted at each turn....
Back then, the PHRASE would have been let's say, imminent danger, but the word danger expanded on the word imminent. I suggest going back to the original! Guess I am just old!
