The U.S. Government failed to deter them through threats of criminal prosecution, and clumsy attempts to intimidate their families. Now four former Air Force drone operators-turned-whistleblowers have had their credit cards and bank accounts frozen, according to human rights attorney Jesselyn Radack.

“My drone operators went public this week and now their credit cards and bank accounts are frozen,” Radack lamented on her Twitter feed (the spelling of her post has been conventionalized). This was done despite the fact that none of them has been charged with a criminal offense – but this is a trivial formality in the increasingly Sovietesque American National Security State.

Cannabidiol (CBD)  — a non-psychoactive phytocannabinoid derived from the cannabis plant — is gaining traction in medical circles and the public eye as increasing amounts of scientific literature confirm its medicinal qualities. These include CBD’s ability to stave off inflammation, curb anxiety, depression, PTSD, psychosis, and seizures.

More astonishingly, and perhaps more urgently, CBD is proving to be a powerful anticancer agent (as recently acknowledged by the U.S. government’s National Cancer Institute). A paper published by the American Association for Cancer Research found that CBD inflicts programmed cell death (PCD) in breast cancer cells.

During the month-long “Food for Fines” program, Lexington’s parking authority will accept cans for citations.

For one month in Lexington County, Kentucky, individuals who forgot to feed their parking meter or drove too fast and got a ticket can pay off their fines with canned good donations.

The Lexington Herald-Leader reports that during the monthlong “Food for Fines” program (November 16 – December 18), the city’s parking authority will accept cans for citations.

Those who donate 10 canned food items will receive a $15 credit on citations. Customers with multiple citations are only allowed to bring in 10 cans per citation to receive the credits.

All the food will be donated to God’s Pantry Food Bank, which will use the items to stock the shelves of its four Lexington locations.

Embodied experience ignites curiosity that propels movement in our awareness. The moment we think we completely understand or know anything, we limit what we might discover. The moment we immerse ourselves in experience, we create references and distinctions for ourselves as placeholders in our personal maps of reality.

An unusual plankton growth has been discovered in the North Atlantic, in contrast to the scientific predictions for the area. The discovery suggests a swift environmental change as a result of increased amounts of carbon dioxide may be underway.

A team of researchers has conducted a study to investigate the microscopic algae growth in North Atlantic and the results have, to their surprise, showed a major increase of certain species. For example, in a period between 1965 and 2010, the abundance of single-cell organism coccolithophores showed a tenfold increase with sharp peaking during the late 1990s.

Coccolithophores are single-cell algae organisms that cloak themselves in a distinctive cluster of pale disks made of calcium carbonate, or chalk. They play a role in cycling calcium carbonate, a factor in atmospheric carbon dioxide levels. In the short term they make it more difficult to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, but in the long term - tens and hundreds of thousands of years - they help remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and oceans and confine it in the deep ocean.
