When you are wound too tight, unwind. What does unwinding really mean? It doesn't mean to take a drink or eat a second piece of pie. It doesn't mean running away or oblivion. Unwinding doesn't mean all the things you may think. It means letting go. Let go of what may ail you. What ails you is something you are holding onto, some thought you are holding onto, some orientation that you've got to let go of.

There are many possibilities. You may think the world owes you a living. You may think that you are in danger. You most certainly are in danger to think that you are in danger from one source or another or simply from the world at large. Whatever it is that hangs over you that you think you must defray, this is what has to be unwound. You tied a rope of tension around you. You simply have to drop it. It is you who holds yourself in jeopardy.

I can hear you respond vehemently:

"Look, God, what are You talking about? You know that there are tsunamis, earthquakes, lightning, all sorts of things that go boom in the dark. Trees may fall, trucks go off the road, innocent babies get colic. There is no end to the terrible things that can happen."

Beloveds, this is just the point. There is no end of possibilities. You are so quick to think of the disconcerting possibilities. I ask you to think of the equally viable possibilities. You could find a hundred-dollar bill on the street. You could bump into someone who will become a huge factor for good in your life.

HJ: To live consciously is to see yourself and your reality as they truly are.  And the measure of your level of consciousness is the degree to which you are able to experience and embody the fundamental truths which underlie all that is.  That does not mean that there is a right or wrong way to be, only varying levels of harmony with the essence of what is.  Even those at a low level of consciousness are perfect as is, learning the lessons they need to learn — having the experiences they need to have in this moment.  And this is equally true for those who are highly conscious.

However, that being said, it is useful to have a way to gauge spiritual progress and conscious evolution, lest we be fooled into thinking we are somehow finished… because the evolution of consciousness is never ending.  The higher you go, the more the mysteries of existence and the universe are revealed to you and the more closely you transform yourself into love, ether and pure creative bliss.

The 3 practices outlined below are powerful catalysts for hoisting yourself up the rungs of consciousness, if that is so...

STARGATE EXPERIENCES   For some, going through a stargate is a physical activity. They actually walk through and know they are in a different time or place. Some are transported beyond the earthly realms to spaceships or other planets. Some experience nothing. Many experience a feeling of peace or calmness. For most, they receive an answer to a question, a solution to a problem, a deeper understanding surrounding an issue that is important to them. Quiet your inner and outer mind. Many times it is difficult to quiet the “mind chatter” and to tune out distractions. Tell your left brain to rest during this time, this will stop the analyzing. Tell your body that you are safe and to set your body at a temperature that is perfectly comfortable so that it is not a distraction. Tell your ears to shut down during this time; do the same for your eyes. Place your body in a position that is comfortable and perfectly balanced. Close your eyes and visualize a doorway in front of you. As you stand before this doorway, in your mind, clearly state your intention for entering the stargate. Once stated, ask permission of the Gate Keeper to enter. Before entering, ask your Guides to remain with you, to protect you and allow you to have a pleasant and magical experience. To fully experience all that you wish, you must fight any fears that may creep in. Make the declaration that you will fully return to your body within a certain parameter of time, such as 30 or 45 minutes. You are now ready. Relax and in joy, walk through the doorway. Allow your mind to wander; notice where you are.

When it’s raining out five days in a row, what can you do but weather it? You go to work the same. You come home from work the same. You know that the rain will last as long as it lasts, and the sun will come out again.
 
Yet, when it comes to dealing with life, you are not always so sensible. When your heart is saddened, even when you don’t know why, with or without good reason, you groan at your sadness. You may analyze it. You storm down its battalions, sure that sadness will hang on forever, and you will never be happy again.
 
Will you not treat rainy days of your emotions as you do the weather? You know that weather changes. You don’t fault the weather’s temperature and say that the temperature will never go away. Yet, to all intents and purposes, you may feel that your life is over, and that happiness will never be yours again. This is how it feels to you.
 
It’s a wonder that you form such conclusions. It’s a wonder that you discourage yourself so relentlessly. You stoke the fires of depression and take depression as your lot for all time.
Change your orientation, beloveds. Start loving yourself again. Give yourself a pep talk. Start having fun again. Outstare gloom. Never were you meant to be a cheerleader of gloom. It is not for you to make a tragedian of yourself. Start to see yourself in more favored situations. See the comic aspects that surround you. I said comic, not cosmic.
 

This is one of the most beautiful sights out galaxy has to offer. Observable in the southern sky, the Great Carina Nebula, or NGC 3372, is nearly 300 light years wide, making it one of the galaxy’s largest star-forming clouds. The Carina Nebula can be seen by the unaided eye when seen on very dark, clear nights in the southern sky. It’s wider than the full moon and is home to young, very large stars. One of these stars is Eta Carinae, a star with 100 times the mass of our Sun. Eta Carinae is the brightest star near the middle of this image. The star may be very near supernova, which would be quite the sight to see!
