It is not for you to look for life to be an equal-opportunity employer. It is not for you to put your attention on everything being justified in life. You do not keep score, beloved. It is not for you to conjure up what you think is fair or what you think is unfair. Life isn’t like that. Fair is not a question that life asks. Life does not play a game of Even Steven. Life is more like a mountain range. It has peaks, and it has valleys. Someone who is on the uppermost peak of the mountain range and someone who, from the world’s viewpoint, is at the lowest valley can have equal happiness. That is their call. You grasp this. A wealthy man may or may not be as happy as a poor man. Happiness depends on more than the external picture of life. Of course, it does.
 
In whatever ways life serves you, you can be happy or unhappy.
 
Here is where coveting and envy come in. If you think you cannot be happy without a dishwasher, you are sadly mistaken. If you think you can’t be happy without a husband or wife, you are sadly mistaken. If you think happiness demands that you have all your desires fulfilled, you are sadly mistaken. This is not to say that having a dishwasher or a mate or anything else cannot give you happiness, yet happiness is not truly dependent upon the fulfillment of your desires.

Sometimes, I come across a piece of  information, a statement or happening from around the world that knocks me for six. An event that signals the direction in which humanity is heading. The sort of harbinger that I like to imagine Orwell, Huxley or Bradbury used as inspiration. While the media fixes its lens firmly upon the latest war zone, little alarm bells are ringing in our living rooms.

The Crisis

Of what crisis do these alarm bells warn? Put simply, it’s a breakdown of human communication. Evaporating

HJ: One of the primary keys to a happy, fulfilled, abundant life is discovering your passions and giving them to the world with all of your heart.  Yes, there are other reasons why you are here in this life.  However, this is your primary objective.  To do it and to do it well.  To do it with love and compassion and joy and all the other spiritual values we all hold so dear.

Because living your passions is the path in life that will allow you the greatest growth in consciousness and the greatest spiritual growth possible for you to achieve in this lifetime.  The only guideline is to live your passions to the best of your ability in any given moment.  Things out of your control may take your life down a different path than you had anticipated but no matter what you are doing, no matter what situation you find yourself in, if you simply live your passion and follow your greatest excitement, you can do no wrong.

And, in fact, as regular readers of the Healers Journal will know, there is no right or wrong.  These are inherently subjective judgements of inherently objective phenomena.  They are cultural...

Today, it is time to look at the baggage you carry. Some of you carry it with dignity – like a badge of honor, some with disdain and still others with hurt and shame.  Some of it was given to you or you may have picked it up of your own free will.  You may even carry it with you as a form of protection.  It is time to set it down now, my love.  You may even unpack it, examining each piece to decide whether you will keep it or not.  The choice is yours.  But, I am here to tell you it is no longer necessary for your existence.  Let it go!  The lightness of being you will gain far outweighs the benefits of continuing to carry it. ~ Creator
