God Hears Your Heart Say

Submitted by Galactic Free Press on Sat, 12/19/2015 - 23:31

God said:

What is it that you tell yourself that you want most in your life? Even if you have a list of 1,000 sought-after desires, such a list is not enough for you, unless, that is, you have one major desire that heads the list.

You might guess that I expect your major desire to be your search for Me. There could still be yet another part of the equation you forget to mention.

“What?” you say. “A factor greater than God? What is more than You, God? Heaven, perhaps? Love with a capital L? What?”

I will tell you, but not yet. Of course, the answer hinges on what you just said, yet there is an aspect you may be missing, as you will see.

When I tell you, you will say: “Oh, yes, how could I forget?”

You may get so caught up in life that you forget what you aren't paying attention to. You may be so busy just trying to keep up with life, you may not be much aware of  life itself. You are singularly distracted. You may try to whiz through the day, get to work, leave work behind, and so on. Certainly, a day is taken up. It runs away with you, or you run away with it or from it. It seems you are either running away from something or running after something. Well, you are caught up in a swirl of activity, or you are chewing your nails, or you are out of breath.

A Chicago woman has built a business out of not only helping the environment, but helping to create a bright and positive future for ex-cons.

Chicago, IL – Brenda Palms-Barber has created a unique program that accomplishes two noble goals—helping troubled honeybee populations and helping ex-cons stay out of jail.

Sweet Beginnings, located in Chicago’s West Side, is a social enterprise business that turns former prisoners into beekeepers. This interaction with some of our most important friends in the natural world has a striking success rate.

According to FUSION:

“Graduates of the program have a recidivism rate of only 4%, compared with the national average of 40% and the state average of 55%. Unlike many other social enterprises, Sweet Beginnings is also profitable, bringing in a tidy $9,000 last year.”

5-Star Chef Feeds A Million Homeless After Seeing One Man Do Something Unthinkable

Submitted by Galactic Free Press on Sat, 12/19/2015 - 09:30

We all look for inspiration, and sometimes it comes from the most gut-wrenching experience imaginable. Narayanan was a five-star chef, set to embark on a career feeding Michelin-caliber guests at high-priced tables when his life took an unexpected turn.

The 29-year old wakes up before dawn, and travels over 200 kilometers to feed people in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. The people Krishnan feeds don’t have black Amex cards, nor do they stay in swanky hotels. They are all homeless.

This amazing man feeds more than 400 destitute people every day, often with his own, bare hands. He even offers those that need it a free haircut, and even a bath if they care for one.

The Last Full Moon Of 2015 Will Fall On Christmas

Submitted by Galactic Free Press on Sat, 12/19/2015 - 09:26

Christmas is a day of reflection, gratitude, togetherness, cheer, warmth, giving, and goodness. It’s unique for many reasons, one of them being that it happens one day a year — a birthday if you will. When a full moon occurs, there’s an overwhelming energy that arises. The sun and the moon are in opposite Zodiac signs. And while it proves to be a time of utter charge, it also brings about a sense of balance — the solar yang and the lunar yin are congruous. When the two occasions occur simultaneously, well, that just feels extra special.

The end of a year brings about many feelings. We replay the events of the past and how we changed and grew, and we use our missteps and misfortunes as well as our positive outcomes to pave new intentions for the year ahead of us. We are sensitive this time of year, because there is such a huge transition surfacing.

Day 212: Enjoy Your Work

Submitted by Galactic Free Press on Fri, 12/18/2015 - 22:20

What is your passion? Can you answer this question? If not, then it is likely you are living with belief codes that are not in your best interest. Take time to go within and remember the things that jazzed your energy when you were young. Why did you set these dreams aside? Which ones are worth resurrecting?

Often people feel they should do big things in order to make an impact without realizing how much they impact others by doing small, everyday things. Look around, what needs to be done? Choose things you find interesting. Perform services that energize you. When you are performing services from the heart, there is no need or expectation of being thanked; the service itself is your gift.
