Capitalism

Similar to the end of feudalism hundreds of years ago, is capitalism to be replaced by a new type of social infrastructure and an emergence of a new kind of human being? Many believe that the much-needed shift has already started, as the message that capitalism is not working becomes louder and clearer. The system of monopolies, industrial giants, banks and governments has been so focused on privatization and commercialism that it has resulted in scarcity and inequality, lacking the vision of true freedom and abundance for all.

As the era of capitalism forges on, people are starting to realize the extent of its failures. Capitalism has been deficient in ensuring that basic human necessities are available to all, and has driven many people and even nations into financial ruin, enslaved by their jobs or by their creditors.

Mercury precedes Sun in entering the Sagittarius sign this week. Of great interest, Mercury and Jupiter start forming a mutual reception (reside in each other’s signs) on November 20, and both planets are relatively weak by sign. While compensating for the two planets manifesting in signs far from their homes requires extra consideration, rich opportunities present themselves for using themes generated by Mercury and Jupiter: “uplifting communication”, “expanding commerce through networking”, and “abundance through using logic” are several possibilities with Mercury and Jupiter playing ping-pong back and forth this week. Sun makes a grand entrance into Jupiter’s sign on November 22. The depth, intensity, and transformation of the previous sign, Scorpio, serves as a valuable experience for embracing the higher ideals and journeys of the expansive Jupiter.

It has become all the rage of late to state that solidity is an illusion, a chimera of the mind. Whereas the ethereal is actual, an energetic mass invisible to the human eye, but discernible via intuitive sensibility and higher spiritual discipline.

It is said, following this theme, that the act of seeing is the act of creating. That we ‘bring into existence’ what we observe – and that it was not there before we observed it.

This makes for a lively discussion, but only if you can first create the being you are conversing with. If not, well, I guess he doesn’t exist, poor chap.

Maybe we are tired of our third density state of existence. Maybe we need to dissolve it back into the whizzing atoms and molecules of which it is composed – and ourselves along with it. Maybe the ‘solid thing’ is no longer attractive to us; taken for granted for so long – has it lost its mystery?

Daily Message ~ Thursday November 19, 2015

Any time you feel out of balance, we recommend simply imagining a beautiful beam of light that shines down from the heavens, right over you like a spotlight and continues down into the earth. This is very effective because not only does it bathe you in the energies of alignment, it helps your planet, as well, by anchoring the energies of heaven on earth. It is a simple and beautiful support that is available to you whenever you need it. ~Archangel Gabriel

Processed Meats Join Tobacco and Asbestos as Top Cancer Risks

Cancer is on the rise, and at a staggering rate. In the United States alone, the American Cancer Society estimates that in 2015 there will be more than 1.5 million new cancer cases. The same organization estimates that 1 in 3 women and 1 in every 2 men are at a risk of developing cancer at some point in their lives.

Sadly, we continue to discover that diet and food are likely culprits in the rise of cancer.

In October 2015, a team of 22 scientists from ten countries gathered at the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), which is part of the World Health Organization (WHO), to evaluate the carcinogenicity of the consumption of processed and red meats. Following their evaluation, the Agency placed consuming processed meat, such as bacon, sausage, hot dogs and bologna, into the same category of cancer causing activities (Group 1) as tobacco smoking and asbestos exposure. Red meat was categorized in the same group as inorganic lead (Group 2A). The full list of compounds and activities with suspected, probable or certain links to cancer can be found here.

4 Video Clips That Will Completely Change The Way You Look At The World

I’m sorry, but I don’t want to be an emperor. That’s not my business. I don’t want to rule or conquer anyone. I should like to help everyone – if possible – Jew, Gentile – black man – white. We all want to help one another. Human beings are like that. We want to live by each other’s happiness – not by each other’s misery. We don’t want to hate and despise one another. In this world there is room for everyone. And the good earth is rich and can provide for everyone. The way of life can be free and beautiful, but we have lost the way.

Greed has poisoned men’s souls, has barricaded the world with hate, has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed. We have developed speed, but we have shut ourselves in. Machinery that gives abundance has left us in want. Our knowledge has made us cynical. Our cleverness, hard and unkind. We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery we need humanity. More than cleverness we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost….

Loving The Skin You’re In – Steps You Can Take To Improve Your Body Image

Submitted by Galactic Free Press on Thu, 11/19/2015 - 09:24

If you’ve ever glanced at magazine covers, watched entertainment programs, or even browsed the Internet recently, you’ve probably noticed that being thin is prized above all other body types. Media tells us that being skinny is the key to achieving all your goals and making your dreams come true, from landing that perfect job, to snagging your ideal romantic partner, to looking your best in the most stylish clothes. It’s a destructive cycle of illusion which can easily break down those who don’t fit into the impossibly skinny box. What happens when pop culture leads you to believe that you need to be thin in order to have everything you want, yet your body shape stubbornly refuses to conform to this ideal?

For some, being able to stay positive and have a good body image is a near impossible task – yet it can go a long way towards boosting self-esteem and helping one feel good about the body they’ve got, even if it’s not model-perfect (due to Photoshop and other photo altering techniques, most models aren’t even “model perfect”). Let’s examine why you need to start appreciating your body and outline some actionable ways you can go about achieving a better body image.

Facing The Big Questions: From Investment Banker To Spiritual Seeker

Submitted by Galactic Free Press on Thu, 11/19/2015 - 09:17

Source: www.collectivelyconscious.net | Original Post Date: November 19, 2015 –

There are those questions: “Who am I?” “What should I do with my life?” “How do I be happy?”

You feel a certain way about these questions, I’m sure. They feel heavy, obstructive. What’s to be done with them? Consciously or not, most of us figure it’s best just to ignore them, and hope they don’t really matter. That’s certainly how I lived, until one day I slowed down, stopped, and sat with them.

I was raised by an uber-practical, atheist mother and a father convinced that science was the be-all and end-all of human existence. I was encouraged to think for myself, and to challenge authority (a little), as long as I still got a good job that paid well. Like many American families today, words like “spiritual” never made an appearance over the dinner table, and we so rarely spoke of our love for each other. I remember having some faint inkling that there was something not being said, and that that “something” was everything.
