We hear a lot in the conscious community about the healing use of crystals, but is it just a fad? Are crystals little more than neat, colorful rocks that only appear to offer some sort of healing, or is there more to them than meets the eye?

As we’ll learn here, crystals serve a specific healing purpose, and it has a lot to do with our chakras (or ‘energy centers’) and the chakras of the earth.

I used to channel, and one of the subjects that was always touched on was that the earth has chakras that we can align with to receive a pure stream of healing energy. This energy can rebalance us and help us become purer instruments for the expression – creative or otherwise – of our Christ consciousness.

This is where crystals come into play. They can help us align with the earth’s chakras and receive a clear stream of creative/spiritual energy, but the person who uses them has to be relatively attuned and clear in mind and heart to begin with.

Inequality is not a symptom of the ills of global capitalism, it is its fuel.

By next year, the richest 1% of the world will own more wealth than the rest of the entire population of the planet, according to Oxfam. This is a staggering figure, almost impossible to comprehend. And yet, this fact alone puts into focus a harsh truth: that we live in a fierce, inhuman, capitalist world where a handful of the richest people get richer and more powerful, even as governments across the globe enact austerity measures against the working class.

It is completely ludicrous that governments are carrying out austerity policies while the global 1% are set to clutch over half of the world’s wealth by next year. But here we are, watching the impossible unfold right in front of our eyes.

Although I have been writing about essential oils for quite some time now, I still get emails asking how to get started and, more specifically, how to use them. So today I call upon Backdoor Survival contributing author Rebecca Schiffhauer to help explain how to apply essential oils to derive health and wellness benefits for those who are just getting started on the EO journey.

For me, I became interested in aromatherapy in the early ’90s and studied everything I could get my hands on to learn about the therapeutic values and applications of essential oils. Taking things one step further, it was a simple recipe from Valerie Worwood’s book The Complete Book of Essential Oils and Aromatherapy that really clinched the deal. I was having some serious issues with the tendons in my wrist, and I used her healing formula that included lavender, rosemary, and peppermint oils to relieve my pain and suffering.

As a former finance broker, my realization that all bank loans are fraudulent didn’t just lead to my immediate departure from the industry, it also quickly brought some of life’s deep questions to the surface.

Just take a moment, to open your heart centre and face the sun, intending to absorb the many gifts of that light. The sun has many more healing properties than you are aware of!

Since you are a being of light, you might consider it a way of recharging yourself, of being cleansed, of being reset into your optimum energetic state.
