The only person you owe is yourself. You are obligated to yourself. This is not selfishness I advocate. Not at all, yet, nor are you to be at the beck and call of anyone who wants to claim you as their right.
 
When I say you are indebted to yourself, you have to remember that you do well to include in the many you wish to do good for the one you call yourself. You are not to overlook yourself. You are not to relegate yourself to the end of the line. Certainly, your life on Earth counts as much as anyone else’s life on Earth. You have rights and privileges. Nowhere do I mean that service to God means putting everyone’s needs before your own.
 
You personally cannot fill everyone’s needs. I can. You can’t.
 
Certainly, in one sense, you are servant to all the world. However, what service would you give to the world by putting everyone before you? You may choose to give up your life to save another. At the same time, you don’t have to. This is your choice. You are not obliged to give everyone what they may want at your own expense. You also have your life to live.
 
Remember that your service is to Me and on behalf of Me. Reserve some regard for yourself. You are not to consider yourself Selfless. You are also your own person. If you give all of yourself away, what is left of you?

In essence, a spiritual awakening occurs each moment we make a choice. However, one day a grand opportunity for awakening occurs that will change the past, present, and the future. When the choice is made to advance beyond the old beliefs and patterns, triggers and clues emerge that are telltale signs of a spiritual awakening.

1. We Question Who We Are

One of the main things we begin to question in our spiritual awakening is who we really are. Through various teachings and information available in books and on the internet, we get clues to how to go within. By going within we realize that we are an infinite being having a physical experience in a human body.

It has happened just as it has before and probably will in the future; you have fallen, face-planted, took the big dive and now you are lying there wondering if it is possible for you to get up…..yet again.  Your wounded pride, skinned knees and, yes, even embarrassment may make you want to stay down and never move again.  Be aware, my beautiful child, of the fact that falling is a part of being human.  How else would you know that you are capable of getting up, dusting off and moving forward? As you learn, grow and change the moments of imbalance will become less and the experience you gain will be a guiding light for those that are moving through their own challenges.  As painful as the fall can be, The Universe is always there offering a hand up….just reach out and take it. ~ Creator
