This post may disturb those inclined towards compulsive positive thinking. But it is likely to provide much needed relief to those who feel stretched and pressured by this kind of an expectation. For myself, I have found that calling a spade a spade (and a rose a rose!) brings immense ease. So much of our energy is spent in denial and suppression of our thoughts and feelings. This very avoidance keeps alive and persistent that which we wish to run from. As also the consequent self- judgment and perpetual exhaustion. For when we cannot control what we experience, we end up feeling inadequate and helpless.
Long ago, I read a definition of suffering that made complete sense to me:
“Suffering = Pain * Resistance”
It was credited to Shinzen Young and I am most grateful for this useful gem of a reminder.
So, pulling from a decade of experience as a life coach, in an effort to help Lane walk more closely Sara’s footsteps, here are some toxic, confidence-killing behaviors to avoid:
Getting caught up in lots of needless drama.– Some people love to stir up controversy and drama for no apparent reason. Don’t buy in to their propaganda. Stay out of other people’s drama and don’t needlessly create your own. Instead, imagine what would happen if you spent this entire day, and every day hereafter, with all your energy directed toward your most positive possibilities. Rather than being annoyed, be amused. Instead of getting angry, become curious. In place of envy, feel admiration. Life is too short to argue, fight or be negative in any way. Count your blessings, value the people who matter and move on from the drama with your head held high.
Seeking approval from everyone around you.– Confident people have no interest in pleasing everyone they meet...

We all have something at the back of our minds that we wish to have done differently or haven’t done at all. We often ask ourselves what could be different if we tried harder to be better. Here is a list of things you will regret in the long run.
You are the architect of your own life. When you know who you really are and what you want most, you have discovered two of the most important things in your life. But it takes courage and persistence to actually go after what you want to achieve. This kind of responsibility is feared by many people and usually they allow others to create their dreams for them. Maybe it is because they aren’t brave enough to create their own life path or are too scared to do it alone. And mayb...
Emotions are like clouds. They come and go and evaporate very quickly. It is only when we resist them or try and hold on to them after they have passed that problems being to arise. The great irony is that as we accept what life is giving us in the moment, fear, frustration, anger, resentment, whatever… happiness eventually returns. Perhaps a state even better than happiness, which is contentment and ease, as Sangeeta explains below in her wonderfully insightful article.

When you think of releasing your judgments, you are usually drawn to your thoughts of judging others. My child….there is one thing you have forgotten. Before you can release any judgments about others you must first release judging yourself. You are beautiful and beloved in the eyes of The Universe, it is time to start seeing yourself that way as well. It is not important how you start or the size of the step you take…..just that you take one. ~ Creator
Dear Ones, you can have a desire without having an attachment to it. A desire is something you would like to experience. It is an intention, or a focus point, for creation. Desire has lots of room to create, to form, to unfold.
Attachment, on the other hand, becomes very rigid. If you are attached to a certain outcome, you have restricted your flow. You are trying to create from a very limited vantage point. Further, you have placed your happiness on an external, which will ultimately create disappointment because happiness must always come from within.
Why not start to find joy in the creation process? Why not enjoy the excitement, the unfoldment, knowing that things will always come together in a way that is best for you. By giving your creations plenty of room to form, you will be surprised by their divine perfection, and how they are often so much better than you dreamed. Attachment is very limiting and attempting to force energies on your own. Flow is incredibly expanding, magical and co-creative. ~Archangel Gabriel

Taking a pulse check of the conscious awakening of humanity on all levels, it is sometimes difficult to describe the feelings and experiences we are all encountering. As covered in the recent documentary Collective Evolution III, many signs and yardsticks seem to concur with the filmmakers’ findings that we are riding the wave of something big. One thing is for sure, communities, societies, and the world are in the midst of throwing off any attempts at oppressive control and suppression of information with no signs of stopping.
There are many ways one can measure our conscious shift to date in this fast moving current from control to awake and empowered. Topping the list we see the words ‘open sourced’ being magnified. Beginning as a term amongst the tech culture, the open source revolution has now shifted into high gear and is laying waste to once hidden agendas, disinformation, and suppression. Like nature reclaiming back alley streets and abandoned Detroit factories, it is a higher universal cycle that is serving to bring the false concrete reality to its very foundations. A quick look reveals the open source influence inspiring nearly every key area needed for humanity to release centralized, suffocating control. The students of humanity are ready and the open sourced teacher has appeared.
