Scientists have for the first time used DNA to encode the contents of a book. At 53,000 words, and including 11 images and a computer program, it is the largest amount of data yet stored artificially using the genetic material.

Florida will be one of the battleground states in the upcoming presidential election. Apart from having a large number of seniors who are concerned about issues like Medicare and taxes, the state also has one of the highest percentages of home foreclosures, falling only after California.
