It’s also about self image, developing your own identity, gender roles, and it’s about learning to express yourself, your wishes and your boundaries.” – Ineke van der Vlugt, an expert on youth sexual development for Rutgers WPF, the Dutch sexuality research institute and the organization behind Netherlands sex education curriculum.

Did you know that the Netherlands has one of the lowest teen pregnancy rates in the world? Did you know that the majority of teens in the Netherlands say their first sexual experiences were “wanted” and “fun?” It could be because by law, all primary school students in the Netherlands must receive some form of “sexuality education.” It’s not called “sex” education, because the idea is bigger thank that, according to der Vlugt. The idea here is to have open and honest conversations about relationships and love.

A 2008 United Nations report found that comprehensive sex ed allows young people to “explore their attitudes and values, and to practice the decision-making and other life skills they will need to be able to make informed choices about their sexual lives.” (source)

Happy Solstice from Chichen Itza, Mexico! The Mayan Temple of Kukulkan is one of my favourites, designed with such precision and harmony. It has 365 steps one for each day of the year, 91 per side with the top platform being 365. Each Equinox and Solstice, shadows fall in perfect alignment specific to each of those 4 days. Genius and brilliance is an under-statement.

These sacred sites provide clues as to our ancient, stellar history, our connection with those who came from the stars who will one day come again. Our star ancestors are still here, living on through all of you who remember your star seed heritage...living on also through those who don't yet remember. 

God said:

Plow through. Sometimes you simply have to plow through obstacles. Yes, be a snow plow and keep going. Persist.

Because you have a hard time doesn’t have to mean you’d better stop. You may well be barking up the right tree. Don’t consider what you see as lack of support as a signal to stop. It may well be a signal to keep going, to keep going through rain and snow and floods and hurricanes, whatever the world throws at you.

The Earth persists. You are a microcosm of the Earth. Earth doesn’t stop because of obstacles. The world keeps spinning, and so must you. This world that may hamper you plows through.

Certainly, there is a reason for everything, yet you don’t know what the reason or reasons are. You can only guess.

In general, when you find life tough, you are being given an opportunity to become stronger. In a way, it is for you to become more committed to your service to Me. Even when wherever you turn, you are given no for an answer, or later for an answer, or a little pat on the head, for an answer, you can keep going onward and upward.

The key for you may well be to persist. You were in on a venture from the beginning and so you continue. If it is a business venture of your dreams, stay with it. Give it a good shot. If it is a spiritual venture for Me, stay with it. Most especially, when it is a venture for Me, persist and persist. If you are taking singing lessons and this is important to you, you keep learning to sing. You carry through.

Your conscious mind need not know your Divine Purpose. Your soul knows and is guided by The Universe. Your conscious mind will take action on what your soul shares with you. Whether a whisper or a shout, it is there.  Listen. ~ Creator

Pine bark, botanical name Pinus pinaster, is a maritime pine native to southwest France that also grows in countries along the western Mediterranean. Pine bark contains a number of beneficial compounds that are extracted from the bark in a way that doesn’t destroy or damage the tree.

History

The use of various tree barks for health reasons is thought to date back to 1535 when French explorer Jacques Cartier landed in what is now modern day Quebec, Canada. Being winter, no fruits or vegetables were available. Ship crew became ill and began dying from what we now know as scurvy, a deficiency of vitamin C. Natives taught explorers to use local tree bark as a tea for the scurvy. Apparently it worked. As it turns out, the tree bark is rich in vitamin C and other nutritional phytochemicals.

Personal health is about thriving not just surviving.

At its root, maintaining personal health is not about restrictions. We all have friends who go from one diet to the next, maybe receiving short-term change only to revert back to old habits. I’m sure many of us have also done that ourselves. But truly nourishing yourself is about creating new habits.

How can we unearth our innate ability to become healthier and create our own health destiny, through education, empowerment, ancient and scientific truths and intuition? If we can get a better understanding of the health benefits of eating whole foods, how it affects dis-ease, self-empowerment, responsibility, conscious living, transitioning, socializing and so much more, we can make great strides in empowering ourselves and take control of our own health destinies.
