A team of Hungarian researchers are studying DMT’s unique ability to protect brain cells under high stress situations, such as during clinical death.

Dimethyltryptamine, or DMT, is one of man’s biggest conundrums.

Once smoked, DMT elicits an out-of-body experience so extraordinary that afterwards many are never the same. Unimaginable visions of complex geometrical patterns, contact with extra-dimensional beings, and ego-death are among the most commonly described facets of the DMT experience.

But beyond these fantastical visions there exist many more pressing questions about DMT, or the “spirit molecule,” as it is often referred to.

For one, DMT is ever abundant in nature. It is potentially found in all living things, a theory which recently gained credence after it was discovered in the pineal gland of rats.

This naturally occurring, endogenous abundance of DMT is indeed mind-boggling to many. I mean, think about it – the most powerful psychedelic known to man is produced within the bodies of all living things. What purpose does it serve?

The physical human body was meant to move. When it is not walking, running, stretching, and bending regularly, it does not function very well. Though movement is essential, more and more people are choosing to live sedentary lives. Choosing to have movement in one’s life each and every day is in fact vital for the evolution of consciousness. How physical movement occurs is a personal preference and as varied as there are practices. Playing a sport may bring the exact body conditioning that is right for one person but yoga may be right for another. Walking through the busy streets of a crowded city may be perfect for someone else, while a job requiring physical labour may keep another in perfect balance. Whatever the choice for keeping the body moving, we know it is right because along with food choices, the body finds its own equilibrium in terms of wellness and ideal body fat. If we store and carry more fat than is natural, this will cause it to be an imperfect filter for the senses and for transformation.

We don’t just have the world’s largest prison population per capita, we blow every other country out of the water. Amazing isn’t it? Amazing we as Americans are told constantly we are the most free, most advanced, and most civilized society. Lady liberty, oh miss high-and-mighty!

Oddly enough, China, a country ruled and looked at as mostly Authoritarian takes 7th place in the world in incarceration rate. Which of course makes you wonder, what the hell is going on in America? Are we just a society of misfits, rabble-rousers, and outright criminals? Or, is it something else?

The answer may surprise you.

When I first read the Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu, I didn’t understand it, and that bothered me, particularly when I read about the three types of men.The first type is the inferior man, and when he hears the Tao, he laughs, because he is a fool, and wisdom seems like foolishness to him.  The second type is the mediocre man.  When he hears the Tao, he is troubled, because he recognizes both the elusive wisdom of the Tao and his own incapacity to fully perceive it; he knows there’s something to it, and he knows he doesn’t fully understand, and so is troubled.  The superior man, upon hearing the Tao, laughs like a fool but for a different reason; the superior man immediately recognizes the truth of what is being said, as well as appreciating the irony that the only people really able to hear wisdom are those already past any need of it.  Laughter is the only possible response…

God said:

You are on a new level now. Your consciousness is on a new level. Then let your life and your thoughts and your actions and reactions also be on a new level.

I refrain from calling your new consciousness a higher level because along with higher comes lower and, so, a value judgment. So is it in the world.

You are not exactly the character of Jack and the Beanstalk who could climb to the height of a giant beanstalk that no one else could. In fact, no other beanstalk grew to that great height. That story is a story from folklore. At the top of the beanstalk Jack found a giant.

You will climb to your heights of consciousness and find God. You will come to find that you and I are equally tall. We could say, “Like Father, like Son.”

The point is that you are climbing hand over fist. You will keep climbing, and you will reach Me, and how happy We shall be. You will be the scout who climbs the highest tree. You will put your hand above your eyes so you can see through the blinding sun, and you will see the world from such great height, that you will see all from above and know all is yours.
