In the course of facilitating classes and workshops for thousands of people throughout Asia, Europe and the United States, I have been asked one question more than any other:

How does the oneness of creation – the singular nature of being – directly impact my life?

This is my response to all of us who have ever wondered, “Why is the nature of the universe important to me?” This article will explicate some of the implications of the unified nature of the universe. Understanding these implications and how they affect our everyday lives can make a difference for each of us.

This journey into consciousness offers each one of us the ability to discover the truth of who we are. As spiritual beings having a human life experience, our human-ness deems it essential that we discover who we really are. Many individuals long to know their purpose. Who am I? Why I am here? What am I supposed to be doing? Asking these questions ignites the spark within us and offers us the opportunity to connect to our Higher self – the knowingness of our soul.

Suppose for a moment that the answer to these questions is simple – your purpose is to be you...

There is a difference between your ego and your soul. Your ego is the image you have of yourself and your social mask, whereas your soul is who you truly are deep down below all the labels and titles. It’s eternal, divine and inherently worthwhile.

When you learn to align more with your soul each day, life seems to flow more naturally and taking action is less of a struggle.

You feel a greater sense of freedom, joy, satisfaction, empowerment and inner peace. You love and accept yourself deeply, even when things aren’t going perfectly to plan.

Unfortunately we’re not taught how to align with our soul, and after years of being controlled by the fears, worries and constant chatter of our ego, it can take a little patience to find our way to this place of safety and strength within us.

All of life on Earth can be viewed as a metaphor. Life is symbolic. Therein lies the tale.

Life in the world is like an overlay, perhaps like a bedspread but such a bedspread, the weave and colors and intricacy beyond belief and yet seen in diverse ways. This bedspread is made of the finest silk, embellished with diamonds and rubies and emeralds and other stones from the Earth including stones you may kick as you walk along. Among the threads appear straw and various greens and flowers from the Earth and all manners of things, pictures of sun and rain, hills and dales, images of trains and planes and light and dark and bright and muted and things never seen before and endless repetitions of what is seen much of the time, and, yet, the bedspread, as intricate and overwhelming as it may be, is only a coverlet. No matter what it is woven of and no matter how beautiful it is or how uproarious it may be, it is a coverlet that can also be lifted off.

In Our metaphor, under the coverlet lies a sleeping place that you lay your head on, and what dreams may come. And, beyond your wildest dreams lie greater riches. We can call this beyond the Source of All.

The coverlet is beautiful, yet there is greater than this. You have an idea of what is greater and beyond, and sometimes you have glimpses of the True Reality, and, always, by the very nature of life on Earth, you come back to the coverlet and prance upon it.

Lucid dreams are the dreams in which you are conscious that you are dreaming. Such dreams are usually very clear and give a great sense of freedom. Although we all get a few lucid dreams in a life time, one can cultivate the ability to lucid dream and become a lucid dreamer on a regular basis. Dreams, and the ancient Art of Dreaming is a Royal road to self knowledge. The art and science of lucid dreaming was an important part of the culture of old civilizations and still is practiced in many tribal societies. All the prophets were lucid dreamers and you too can become lucid in your dreams. It is a skill that can be learned and developed, just like any skill.

It is important that you know about the progress that has been made by modern science in the study of Qi. This will keep you from getting stuck in the ancient concepts and level of understanding.

In ancient China, people had very little knowledge of electricity. They only knew from acupuncture that when a needle was inserted into the acupuncture cavities, some kind of energy other than heat was produced which often caused a shocking or a tickling sensation. It was not until the last few decades, when the Chinese people were more acquainted with electromagnetic science, that they began to recognize that this energy circulating in the body, which they called Qi, might be the same thing as what today’s science calls “bioelectricity.”

Dolphins are one of the most amazing and intelligent animal species on the planet. Their playful nature, friendly behavior and remarkable intelligence make people all over the world adore them. Moreover, it appears that dolphins demonstrate skills and awareness previously attributed only to humans.

HUMAN-LIKE INTELLIGENCE

Scientists at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia in the US, used MRI scanners to map the brains of dolphins and then compared the received data with that of other intelligent mammals, particularly primates. The scans showed that dolphin brains are up to five times larger for their body size compared to other animals of similar size. At the same time, their neocortex, a part of the brain responsible for higher thinking and emotion processing, was particularly large.
