HJ: Language is extremely powerful and simple changes to your vocabulary and speech patterns can have massive effects on the connotations of what you say, causing people to feel more love, happiness and good vibes.  Or consequently what you say can create the opposite effect.  It all depends on what you say, your tonality and your body language.  Hypnotists understand this power well.  In the article below you will learn 10 language pattern shifts that create positive, uplifting feelings in the people you communicate with.

The beauty of the flow is that it will always bring you to what you need for your growth, healing and expansion. This takes all the guess work out of things for you. There is no need to continually search for unhealed bits of yourselves, for things to release. If you are in surrendered movement and there is something you need to address, you will become aware of it in the perfect time and way for it to be healed the greatest ease possible, and then you’ll be off to your next great adventure. ~Archangel Gabriel

Study: It’s Three Times Cheaper To Give Housing To The Homeless Than To Keep Them On The Streets

Submitted by Galactic Free Press on Mon, 01/05/2015 - 09:39

A new study is out providing support to one of my favorite ideas in public policy — that the best way to deal with the challenge of homelessness is to give homeless people homes to live in. To some it sounds utopian and it’s natural to worry about the cost, but a great deal of evidence suggests that it would be cheaper to house the homeless than to let them languish on the streets and deal with the aftermath.

The latest is a Central Florida Commission on Homelessness study indicating that the region spends $31,000 a year per homeless person on “the salaries of law-enforcement officers to arrest and transport homeless individuals — largely for nonviolent offenses such as trespassing, public intoxication or sleeping in parks — as well as the cost of jail stays, emergency-room visits and hospitalization for medical and psychiatric issues.”

A large-scale national study suggests that even moderate use of marijuana is less harmful to users’ lungs than exposure to tobacco, even though the two substances contain at least some of the same components.

This comprehensive study, led by UCSF and University of Alabama at Birmingham, collected data from more than 5,000 U.S. adults for more than 20 years.

Previous research from the University of Otago in New Zealand compared the effects of cannabis and tobacco smoke on lung function in over 1,000 adults.

They reported: “Cumulative cannabis use was associated with higher forced vital capacity [the volume of air that can forcibly be blown out after full inspiration], total lung capacity, functional residual capacity [the volume of air present in the lungs at the end of passive expiration] and residual volume.

Depression: It’s Not Your Serotonin

Millions believe depression is caused by ‘serotonin deficiency,’ but where is the science in support of this theory?

“Depression is a serious medical condition that may be due to a chemical imbalance, and Zoloft works to correct this imbalance.”

Herein lies the serotonin myth.

As one of only two countries in the world that permits direct to consumer advertising, you have undoubtedly been subjected to promotion of the “cause of depression.” A cause that is not your fault, but rather; a matter of too few little bubbles passing between the hubs in your brain! Don’t add that to your list of worries, though, because there is a convenient solution awaiting you at your doctor’s office…

What if I told you that, in 6 decades of research, the serotonin (or norepinephrine, or dopamine) theory of depression and anxiety has not achieved scientific credibility?

Duty and Desire

Cross roads horizon

Many of us have gone through an experience where duty seems to conflict with the desire of our heart to fulfill our lives. These conflicts are our crossroads, and if it is true that we call experiences to ourselves, and our outer life mirrors inner life, then the crossroads are very valuable. Through them, and sometimes through pain, we find our way to the truth… that we are duty. ‘Duty to what’ is the question.

I’ve been thinking back to times when I was at a crossroad, and I gave way to restrictive circumstances. I accepted it, feeling duty pressed upon me. Heart’s desire was pushed into the distance, an unapproved option, requiring strength and courage to even consider.

Give

Submitted by Galactic Free Press on Mon, 01/05/2015 - 09:05

When we give, we live.  Literally, when we give to others, our heart center opens and we receive more of the light within us.

The ego blocks that path of life and creates a callous around our heart. Over time, we forget to feel and the good memory of sharing leaves us.

In life there is a balance between the heart and ego.  If we want to feel alive and vibrant, we must not forget to give and share what we can, when we can.

The greatest gifts are not those we purchase in a store, but those that come from the heart:  a warm and receiving look, a gentle touch, or a sincere hug.

Namaste.
