Someone Asked The Dalai Lama What Surprises Him Most, His Response Was Mind Altering
You could say that the Dalai Lama is a pretty interesting guy, after all his stance on extra terrestrial life is quite interesting. During an interview the Dalai Lama was asked what surprises him the most, his response was quite mind altering.
“Man surprised me most about humanity. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money.
Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.”
Pretty striking and powerful stuff if you really take it in. Sure, it’s easy to read this quote and move onto another page or video or whatever we may be doing...
This Is How The Elite Stay In Power. The World Needs To Know
Greed, poverty, inequality, environmental destruction, war… how do they, at the top of the hierarchy, pull it off? How can a system in which so few make the important decisions, be able to sit comfortably in their pile of wealth while the rest of the world goes to waste? How can a small group of men in suits be able to direct the current in which an entire human society moves?
It’s Simpler Than Most Think
We think it’s complicated. We think that their power is acquired in a very complex, political and scientific way. And it sure may seem that way behind the scenes. But there’s one thing we forget to ask: What is the life force of this system?
With all of the police versus protester conflict and race wars going on as of late, I felt inspired to deliver a message that I believe we need to be reminded of if we want to get out of this mess, reclaim our power and create a more beautiful world. We often think it only has to do with fighting back and blaming the oppressor… but here’s another perspective:
How To Not Take Things Personally
“The primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation but your thoughts about it.” – Eckhart Tolle
When we take something personally we invariably suffer. Why? Because we are believing a thought that claims that reality, what is, should be different than it is. But is this true? Can the present moment be other than it is? No, because there is no other moment available!!
Take a look for yourself. Can you actually find some other moment (like an alternate reality hiding somewhere “off stage”) besides the one that is presently appearing? No, you cannot. Which is why resistance to what is brings suffering; you are rejecting the only thing that actually IS, for something imaginary, which IS NOT. That’s insane.
“When you argue with reality, you lose, but only 100% of the time.” – Byron Katie

Gigantic Hole Hundreds Of Times Bigger Than The Earth Spotted In The Sun
NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory spotted a gigantic, dark hole that’s hundreds of times larger than the Earth. It’s a phenomenon called a “Coronal Hole,” and spans about 250,000 miles at its widest point, according to associate director for science for the heliophysics division at the space agency’s Goddard facility, Dr. C Alex Young. The total surface area of this hole is 410 times larger than out planet.
Coronal holes were first observed by NASA astronauts in the 1970s. They’re not actually holes, but rather cooler regions where the sun’s magnetic field is able to reach out into space...
In the Process of Reading Heavenletters
Every Heavenletter is a beacon call to love. What else is there? In the process of reading and loving Heavenletters, you may find fame and fortune, yet fame and fortune are not what induce you to read Heavenletters. You may think you are seeking success. In that case, love itself is success -- love, not special love, just love on its own, the Beingness of Love.
Whatever you are thinking to gain or to give, your seeking may be wrapped or disguised in other terms. Nevertheless, it is love, pure and simple, that you are desirous of. What is money? Numbers, pieces of paper, tokens of sorts, and, oh, yes, an importance in the world equal to the size of your wallet. I am not opposed to money. There is certainly much love in making money and serving the common weal.
Yet love is something else. All love is directed to and from the Self, the One Self, the I of God from which you are not excepted.
Love is not a gushing well, nor is love forage for anything. Receiving love is a very good thing. Know you deserve it. Giving love is a very good thing. Know you have it to give. Unless you know you are full of love, you may be a hoarder of love and keep it hidden under your pillow. In terms of giving love, you may stint on giving it. You are stingy when you wait until you have more before you consider yourself worth enough to give.

We Don’t Have to Renounce the World
Written by Wes Annac, The Culture of Awareness
Throughout the decades, various spiritual teachers have encouraged us to turn away from the world and everything that constitutes the illusory as opposed to the real.
We’ve been continuously encouraged not to embrace the world as much as we embrace our growing spirituality, and the case has been made that worldly things are temporary and only lead to unhappiness, whereas spirit is permanent and, if ceaselessly focused on, can lead to everlasting bliss.
According to a lot of spiritual teachers, once we get a taste of spiritual bliss, we tend to stop caring about the world. We start to care more about finding spirit and discovering ourselves as God, and the illusory aspects of this reality cease to interest us.

Farmers Abandon GMO Seeds: The Reason Might Surprise You

A growing number of farmers are abandoning genetically modified seeds, but it’s not because they are ideologically opposed to the industry.
Simply put, they say non-GMO crops are more productive and profitable.
Modern Farmer magazine discovered that there is a movement among farmers abandoning genetically modified organisms (GMO) because of simple economics.
“We get the same or better yields, and we save money up front,” crop consultant and farmer Aaron Bloom said of non-GMO seeds. Bloom has been experimenting with non-GMO seeds for five years and he has discovered that non-GMO is more profitable.
