But even when a medication works, half of its impact on a patient is due to one aspect of the placebo effect: the positive message that a doctor provides when prescribing the treatment, according to a new study.

Much of medicine is based on what is considered the strongest possible evidence: The placebo-controlled trial. The problem is that this foundation upon which much of medicine rests, has no standard.

The thinking behind relying on placebo-controlled trials is this: to be sure a treatment itself is effective, one needs to compare people whose only difference is whether or not they are taking the drug...

New study suggests that sunlight exposure can slow down the development of obesity and diabetes.

Researchers of the Telethon Kids Institute in Perth, Western Australia, together with their colleagues from the Universities of Edinburgh and Southampton, found that mice that had consumed large amounts of food experienced a deceleration in weight gain, when exposed to ultraviolet radiation. The experimental animals showed fewer warning signs of diabetes, such as abnormal glucose levels and insulin resistance.

At the same time, vitamin D, which is produced by the body after exposure to sunlight and has been shown by numerous studies to have many beneficial health properties, did not appear to play a role against diabetes and weight gain.

The White House has officially admitted that fake vaccination programs have been used by the United States as a cover for covertly stealing DNA samples from the public as part of the so-called “war on terror.” The aim of the scheme, carried out in the Middle East, was to use DNA analysis to identify suspected terrorists who would then be targeted to be killed by the United States.

As the New York Times reported in 2011, “In the months before Osama bin Laden was killed, the Central Intelligence Agency ran a phony vaccination program in Abbottabad, Pakistan, as a ruse to obtain DNA evidence from members of Bin Laden’s family thought to be holed up in an expansive compound there.” (1)

Live your dreams “they” say, but how can you fully live your dreams when most of your time goes to financially supporting yourself and your family? Many people say that their dreams don’t pay the bills and they have no choice but to work 9 to 5, in order to put food on the table and a roof over their heads. When you have to spend 40 hours or more a week working so that you can eat and have a place to live, there is no time to live your dreams. Sometimes there is not even enough time to dream. Something is wrong with this picture.

Although most of us have been convinced that “this is just the way it is”, this way of life is not natural and certainly not spiritually, emotionally or physically healthy or conducive to well-being. Working to support your life instead of allowing life to support you is out of whack with the natural order of how life truly works.
