Meeting in Time and Space
God said:
There are no coincidences, no accidents, yet there are so many meetings in time and space, so many paths that cross, so many improbable events that somehow are orchestrated. You can only be amazed at how so many impossible things come together.
In fact, you are often sure that something like Laws of the Universe must exist that synchronize in a such a way that couldn’t happen unless they were planned. You say to yourselves: “Ye Gods, what are the odds against the possibility of something this great occurring without the existence of a plan being foreordained and being pulled along to a perfect meeting place. Miracles must be ordained. How can it be otherwise?”
You want there to be freedom, yet there are certain occurrences you might not want to be at all.
Something couldn’t possibly happen, yet it does. Something beyond imagination happens. It isn’t even imaginable, yet it happens, and you wonder deeply how it could ever happen by chance. By chance means randomly. How can randomness possibly be in everything and not just once in a while, you ponder. You do not believe that wonderful events can be random. You do believe that unhappy events couldn’t be ordained. It is understandable that you feel this way.
Yet you hear Me say that everything is possible no matter how remote or unlikely. You hear Me say that there is nothing that is impossible. In the abstract, you like that idea.

The Practical Tool I Used To Cultivate Self-Compassion
Truth be told, I’ve known I need to write about self-compassion for some time. Not just for my readers, but for myself. The reason I put it off? I suck at it. And I wasn’t quite ready to give up the part of me that believed that being gentle with myself would lead to stagnation. My high expectations of myself and others have propelled me forward, yet they’ve also been what kept me stuck. So now, as the Holidays begin and I sort through the proverbial piles of projects I’ve taken on, I’ve decided to say “fuck it!” and learn this lesson once and for all. After all, as Pema Chodron notes, “nothing ever goes away until it has taught us what we need to know.”
So, let’s start by defining “Self-compassion:”
Simply put, it’s being gentle on yourself. It’s treating yourself as you would a friend when she comes to you with a struggle, failure, or self-critical belief. It’s the ability to lean into your feelings of discomfort rather than ignoring them. This means no longer asking for permission to feel your emotions. Instead, it’s learning to self-validate, stating “this is a difficult time for me and it’s okay that I’m struggling. What can I do to give myself the comfort I need and deserve?”

Silicon Valley Workers Are Using LSD As A Performance Enhancer
There is a story making its rounds across the internet that is putting a grin on the faces of psychedelic enthusiasts. In an interview with Rolling Stone, a 25-year-old worker from Silicon Valley revealed that he, along with many other professionals in the tech industry, occasionally uses microdoses of LSD to increase workflow.
A microdose is generally about ten micrograms, or a tenth of a single dose. In his interview, the anonymous worker explains that he felt he was able to better solve problems, make good sales numbers, and communicate effectively with customers.
Needless to say, having workers trying to function in an office while high on LSD could easily lead to negative results ─ in regards to the workflow, anyway. However, this is the beauty of the microdose. According to Rick Doblin, founder and executive director of the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies, microdoses are small enough so the user does not experience any hallucinatory effects, but rather feels a “little bit of an energy lift.”
Former Head Of US Special Forces: Bush’s War In Iraq Created ISIS
“History will not be and should not be kind with that decision.”
One former general strongly believes George W. Bush’s invasion of Iraq was the catalyst that created ISIS.
Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, who was head of special forces in Iraq and Afghanistan, and who recently served as the former director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, said the Bush administration’s reckless march into Iraq created the power vacuum that allowed ISIS to take over in the region.
“When 9/11 occurred, all the emotions took over, and our response was, ‘Where did those bastards come from? Let’s go kill them. Let’s go get them,’” Flynn said in an interview with Der Spiegel. “As brutal as Saddam Hussein was, it was a mistake to just eliminate him. The same is true for Muammar Gaddafi and for Libya, which is now a failed state.”
New Study Shows Regular Contact with Nature Reduces Crime, Increases Social Cohesion
By Christina Lavers
Contributing Writer for Wake Up World
“We need the tonic of wildness… At the same time that we are earnest to explore and learn all things, we require that all things be mysterious and unexplorable, that land and sea be indefinitely wild, unsurveyed and unfathomed by us because unfathomable. We can never have enough of nature.” ~ Henry David Thoreau
The last few hundred years have seen a major shift in man’s relationship with nature. The trend has been a move away from the wild, organic, natural world towards artificial, digital, synthetic, controlled urban environments. With the advent of science during the Age of Enlightenment, man began to grasp that nature operated according to laws that through scientific investigation could be understood, and ultimately controlled and used for the benefit of humanity. The more we were able to explain, the less we perceived nature as a magical, awe-inspiring force that we were an inextricable part of. Humanity began to see itself as superior to nature, and thus a slow disconnection was set in motion — a disconnection that we are gradually beginning to understand has done us a lot more harm than good.
