We all love music. Sometimes all it takes is one song to completely alter our mood and prepare us for the day ahead. But how does it actually do that? What happens when our brains hear the music? Recent scientific studies reveal how music can benefit your brain and what exactly happens in different brain areas when you listen to music.

Music is sort of an ultimate exercise for your brain since it activates every known part, especially the visual, auditory and motor cortices. Researchers have realised that when we hear and attempt to play music, our brains process sounds that they couldn’t otherwise hear. This helps us develop a neurophysiological distinction between certain sounds. Actively engaging with music vastly improves the strength of neural processing, also helping our language skills.^[1]

Before you can follow your star, you want to know where your star is.

Before you can reveal to yourself who you are, you have to know who you are.

In life, you strive to find the star you swing on. No matter how many moons you have lived on Earth, you are trying to find out this answer.

You know all you are not. You are good at that. Too often you don’t know who you are or what you really like nor do you begin to know what you are capable of.

It is as though you were in summer theater. You put on a costume and wear a hat. You play a part, and yet the part you play is hollow.

You put that costume and hat aside, and next summer you put on another costume and hat and act in another play, and all the while you wonder where your star is to wish upon.

All year and your whole life, you have wondered when you will find the ship that is yours to sail, and, you wonder, when you see it, how will you know it’s yours?

It has been said that you find yourself by losing yourself. Lose your search for identity and belonging, and you may well discover your star as you are not looking or looking so hard.

We’re familiar with traditional zodiac signs like Cancer and Virgo and Aries, but in true Zodiac form, there is a 13th sign.

Ophiuchus

According to mythology, Ophiuchus is identified with the great healer Asclepius, the son of Apollo, who could revive the dead. Hades convinced Zeus to kill Asclepius with a lightning bolt when he realized his true powers, and he was placed in the night sky as a constellation after his demise. Constellation Ophiuchus has been mapped since ancient times. It’s better known as Serpentarius, the holder of the serpent. Astrologers haven’t yet included Ophiuchus in the wheel of signs because the sun only rests in that constellation for 19 days. As far as they were concerned, the sun proceeded from Scorpius to Sagittarius and that was that.

But not so apparently.
