All the social systems controlled by the figurative 1% and opposed by the 99%, all the institutions that any compassionate person would liken to fascist or feudal, all have been instigated, implemented and reinforced by people. I know that I alone cannot change such systems; this is guaranteed by the combined oligarchical complex of government, corporate, financial and military, all formed in a steep pyramid system with “the 1%” (those in control) atop and “the 99%” (those under control) below.

But it is perfectly obvious that if a system is simply the creation of people, then people can change that system – with serenity, courage and wisdom...

How can you tell if you’ve found your calling? As a doctor who was called to medicine at a young age but then wound up disillusioned by the system, questioning my calling, I’ve asked myself this question a lot. It’s been a long strange trip- first leaving medicine, then feeling called back, then leaving again only to find my role in healing our broken health care system as a writer, speaker, revolutionary, and teacher of physicians. Along the way, I’ve learned a few things about how to know whether you’re on the right track.

1. You’ll realize you’ve been training for your calling since the moment you were born.

Even the gritty things, the disappointments, the regrets, and the screw ups, they were all prepping you for what you’re now being called to do. You’ll realize that the divorce, the bankruptcy, the death of your loved one, the failure, the rejection- it was just school, teaching you the lessons your soul needed to learn in order to be who you’re being called to be.

Think you can’t grow much food in an urban area? Think again. One family’s 4,000 square foot farm in Pasadena, California “not only feeds a family but revolutionizes the idea of what can be done in a very unlikely place—the middle of a city.” KCET reporter Val Zavala gives us a glimpse into the Dervaes family’s Path to Freedom Urban Homestead. “I brought the country to the city rather than having to go out to the country,” said Jules Dervaes, who created the farm with his three adult children, Justin, Anais and Jordanne.

They grow almost all of the food they need. Ninety percent of their all-organic, vegetarian diet comes from their garden. The operation involves 400 varieties of vegetables, fruits and edible flowers, which is 6,000 pounds of food a year. They raise eight chickens, four ducks and two goats, which provide them with eggs and milk. Chefs from high-end restaurants come directly to their house to buy their excess.

Open your eyes to the possibilities that exist around you. It takes so little to really see what is going on. Let go and let the magic of The Universe work for and with you. ~ Creator

Why not have a grand experiment? Why not try starting your days with different kinds of surrender? One day you might do a general surrender to Source and enter into the flow. Another day you might surrender into the flow of love. Another day you might surrender into being of your highest purpose. Another you may choose to surrender into joy. Then perhaps try not surrendering at all.

When you treat things like an experiment, it allows you to be open to how things unfold. You can very effectively stay out of resistance and into a space of openness while testing the waters of the flow, so to speak, when you get your mind to detach by giving it the job of observer. See which types of surrender feel best to you. Which days feel most wonderful? Most magical? Most supported? Most fun?

From an intuitive standpoint, your aura or personal space is separated from the outer world by a permeable membrane of external energies. This turns you into a multi-dimensional, etheric telephone exchange of sorts!

For better or for worse, you are constantly receiving and transmitting spoken and unspoken communication with the world around you through the medium of energy. This, in turn, registers upon your sensations, feelings, and thoughts.

Most people are generally unaware of the inherent nature of their auras. This type of communication can run the gamut from past life memories and family karma, to the held beliefs, expectations, and fears of your friends, colleagues, and family members in present time. This feature also forms the basis of the universal truth that ‘all is one.’

The push for the decriminalization of marijuana at the federal level just got a little bit stronger as the American Academy of Pediatrics, or AAP, has thrown its support behind medical marijuana for sick children.

The AAP recognized that medicinal marijuana may be a treatment option for kids “with life-limiting or severely debilitating conditions for whom current therapies are inadequate.”

Recently, 200 families moved to Colorado, where marijuana was legalized for adults in 2012, in search of medical marijuana for their children. Strains of pot like Charlotte’s Web have been shown, at least anecdotally, to control seizures in children.

If the world is a real-seeming illusion, then suffering is also an illusion. I hear you say to Me:

“God, what difference does it make if my life on Earth is illusion or not when illusion feels real? What difference does it make if my suffering is illusion or not when it feels like honest-to-goodness suffering, and I suffer?

“Give me an illusion of peace then. Let me put in my time on Earth in illusion then. With all due respect to You, God, give me a pleasant illusion. If I am not made for suffering, why, then, do I have it? Make me free of suffering on any basis.

“You tell me that I do not need to suffer. Then, so, why do I? If I’m cut, I bleed. If I am hungry, I am hungry. If I mourn loss, I mourn loss. Do I need to go on? Well, one more thing. You say that if I perceived well enough, I would not suffer. Then give me, I beg You to give me, the perception that it is Yours. Make it mine, I beseech You.

“You say I will get the hang of it, that I will come to know Truth from Illusion. Give me the hang of it and release me from bondage now. Release me from illusion. Remove all pain and agony from me. If You are a God of Love, then show me Love so I love without limit, and that I love once and for all, and I am as You created me to be.

“God, I hear that I live many lifetimes. Do I need so many? Can’t I take a quick course? Please don’t tell me it’s my choice. What I presently live through can’t be my choice.
