Waking Times
At the center of our bodies resides a long, sinewy nerve that extends all the way from our medullas down through our chests to beyond our stomachs. This nerve, known as the Vagus Nerve, happens to be at a most fascinating intersection, not only between our two physical nervous systems (our central and autonomic nervous systems) but also between our conscious minds and subconscious minds. As such, it also acts as a bridge between our gross bodies and our subtle bodies. And it’s a nerve probably 99% of the population have never heard of nor even have a clue where it’s located. And yet the Vagus Nerve (ironically pronounced the exact same way as sin city itself, Las Vegas) may be the single most relevant organ in our body relative to our peace of mind and happiness.
A common way in which we deal with unpleasant emotions is to suppress or ignore them. These are normal coping mechanisms our minds use to handle situations we don’t particularly want to deal with in the present moment. When strong emotions come into our consciousness, there is often something inside of us which says, “This is going to ruin my happiness right now and I don’t like that, so I’ll just deal with it later.” The problem with this approach is that ‘later’ never comes and these emotions get pushed further down, out of our conscious awareness.
It is a basic law of the universe that energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only change form. The same law applies to our consciousness. We can suppress emotions for a very long time, and although they leave our conscious awareness, it doesn’t mean they are completely gone. This repressed emotional energy gets buried deep within the basement of our subconscious, where it sits gathering ‘emotional dust’.
Dear Ones, you have been through such thorough purging and releasing as part of your enlightenment process. Do you know what has been left behind? You. The pure essence of you. Glorious, shining YOU. It is from that place of truth and transparency that you will be drawing to you the truest matches for yourselves, in all areas of your life. What an incredible gift you have given yourselves! Climaxing last week [May 15, 2013], the sun will have unleashed three X-class solar flares. These are the strongest flares of the year so far, and they signal a significant increase in solar activity with more to come. Historically, research has been conducted to link the 11 year cycle of the sun to changes in human behavior and society. Research done in the last hundred years that shows the most malefic effects from solar activity come at the sunspot minima.
Solar flares are intense blooms of radiation that come from the release of the magnetic energy associated with sunspots. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) ranks solar flares using five categories from weakest to stongest: A, B, C, M, and X. Each category is 10 times stronger than the one before it. Within each category, a flare is ranked from 1 to 9, according to strength, although X-class flares can go higher than 9. According to NASA, the most powerful solar flare recorded was an X28 (in 2003).

Every day of our lives events occur that warrant celebration – some are large and some are small. One day we might clean out the junk drawer in the kitchen, the next we finish constructing the 4-foot garden we’d been putting off for months, and the next day we find out that our daughter is engaged.
It’s hard to imagine not celebrating your daughter’s engagement with a round of calls to all the relatives and a dinner where you raise your glasses to the bride and groom to be.
For me, it’s hard to imagine not celebrating the clean drawer.
I know that might sound extreme but the days are moving by at a rapid pace. Why are we only celebrating the big events — the weddings, the births, the promotions, the New Year?

We all want to be healthy, vibrant, disease and pain free. Wouldn’t it be nice if there was an easy, free, and always available source to draw from to help us accomplish that? We watch what we eat; we exercise; we take supplements; we practice yoga. As obvious as it sounds, have you ever considered that one of the keys to optimal health is right under your nose? Who would have thought that controlling the breath (both consciously and intentionally) and breathing optimally could actually improve your health? The yogis of ancient India knew this. When we were young we were all told to take a deep breath when we got upset. Well, why did we stop at one? We innately know that it calms us down, but did you know that you could actually affect your entire autonomic nervous system with the practice of conscious breathwork?
LOVE THYSELF We are all from the same Source and will return to the same Source. Many of your ancient and religious teachings make the statements that we are all One, that we are brothers and sisters and indeed, this is true. Know it in your hearts, look into each other’s eyes and see this Truth. Until you know in your hearts that you are the same, you will create separation, which is the downfall of any civilization.
When humans create labels of separateness, all hell breaks loose. Heaven on Earth can be a reality when each of you consciously chooses to make it so. There is one underlying theme that can make this a reality, love thy neighbor as thyself. The problem is that many of you have not learned to love thyself. How can anyone expect to love their neighbor if he cannot love himself first? This is an impossible reality.
It always begins by going within. Many of you spend an exorbitant amount of time and energy on your outer self when it comes to grooming and appearances. Yet far fewer take time to go within and do the necessary grooming that allows them to shine their inner light. This is best done in deep meditation; however, you can also reflect during any moment of the day. This can only be done if your mind is not cluttered with fear or busy-ness that keeps you distracted from what is essential, love of Self. We encourage you to make a commitment to spend time working on your inner self. Learn to connect with your personal Spirit Guides; they are waiting for you to ask for their assistance.
Hark! I hear a refrain. I hear My child say:
"My God, My lovely God Who loves everyone as He loves Himself, what more is there for me to say than that You love all, are connected to all, and all are One with You? I don’t quite get it, yet I love it, the commonality, I, who always wants to be unique and special, am excited about being One with You, God, and therefore One with everyone. Thank You for being God of All and including me. Thank You for all You give, without which I would be empty of You and bereft of all You have shown me. It is greater than a life time since I began this adventure of becoming One with You. I kiss Your feet, God, that I am part of You and getting closer to You, yes, I am."
Well, dear Ones, of course, this is My Will. Only a little more journey until you know the All of It. You are going to have a big rush or swoop and know the Ultimate and truly have Me embedded in you and you in Me so there is no doubt but that you are Mine, and We are One. Now, now, have no thought that you will be losing yourself. As nice as you are, you have been keeping Me at hand’s length. Yes, you have. You haven’t quite wanted to be all of Me, dear one. No offense, you have done some loitering around the fringes, just that tiniest of hesitation, just holding out on a fraction of yourself. Very very soon, you, My child, will be saying:
“Yes, God, now I give all of my supposed self to You. May I be like a chalice that You drink from.”
