One of the ways humans limit themselves, and frustrate themselves greatly, is by expecting things to be delivered from a certain source. For example, if they give love to a person, they expect it back from that person. If they are kind to another, they expect kindness back. If it doesn’t, the person withdraws even further, thinking that the world is very unfair.

Let us explain this further. If you are very focused on getting something back, you are giving with expectation, with condition, which is really trying to give from a place of lack and fear. You are giving or loving conditionally, which cannot bring back to you the unconditional love or support you seek. If you are focused on fear of lack or response, you will, unfortunately, have set the stage to experience more lack. You are trying to force things, rather than flow.

When you expect that your returns can only come from one person, or one avenue, you are also limiting your results. What if you expanded your focus beyond the person or situation in front of you. What if you simply gave or loved for the joy of loving, secure in the knowledge that the universe will always respond and that it can come from a myriad of sources?

There are matters in life that require your waiting for them. You have to wait for Christmas. It is an appointed day. You have to wait for your anniversary. You have to wait for the stars to come out, you have to wait until the sun dawns. When you were a child, you had to wait to grow up. You have to wait for a train to leave, a boat to dock, a ship to come in, a flight to take off.

There are other occasions in life where you don’t wait. To say hello to a friend -- don’t wait. Say hello right then. To make a friend, don’t wait. Don’t wait for a better time. When you have an opportunity to connect with someone, whatever the occasion, connect with the person. Some matters are not to be put off for a better time. There is no better time than now.

This is my message for you today: Do it now, not later. Make something happen. Find out.

If you want to say you’re sorry to someone, now is the time. If you want to make a sale, the time is now. If you want to connect hearts, now. Consider that you have an appointment. Be there. Don’t delay. When you delay, you have wasted a chance. Now is the time to plant corn. Now is the time to pick corn. Now is the time to cook corn.

As with a choir, there is a right time to come in and sing. The chorus comes in now. This is the time the chorus sweeps in. This is the cue, and here is the chorus.

So in life, you want to enter at the right time. No better time than the present.

Ahh the chakras… 

When you think of the chakras, what comes to mind?

Every inch of this topic has been explored to the core in the Spiritual community for some time now. It’s important we remember that the chakras are much more than just representations.

They are physical energy centers along our body that keep us balanced with who we are.

Examples of this are always playing out in the physical:

Talking over everyone at a party? Too much Throat.

Coming off as a bit arrogant or egotistical? Too much Solar Plexus.

When we understand the implications of each chakra, we can practically apply the specific energies of each one  to find balance in our daily, physical interactions with each other and with ourselves.

HJ: A wise mentor once said, the present moment is your point of power.  Anything you want to do, be or create originates within the present moment.  So get there, be there and thrive.

How To Live In The Present

I’ve written many articles telling people to live in the present and articles about my own adventures on how to live in the present , but I’ve never truly explain why it’s necessary and how to go about doing it. The way I see it is that it’s like a muscle, a skill that you must develop and strengthen where it gets easier with time.

After a lifetime of conditioned thought patterns, we come to believe that thoughts are all there is to us...
