A Milestone

Submitted by Galactic Free Press on Mon, 11/10/2014 - 17:15

Simply let go of finding fault. What a milestone that will be -- to let go of fault-finding -- to be a joy-finder instead. Even if you step in a puddle, find joy in the remarkableness of stepping into a puddle. Okay, if it’s bad enough that you stepped into a mud-puddle, laugh about it. That’s the least you can do.

We are talking about being good-natured in life. If the crime of stepping into a puddle has already been accomplished, let’s say, why perpetuate gloom? Why perpetuate gloom for any of the matters you are glum about?

Let the theme of your life be about perpetuating joy. Do We agree that you have choice? Did I not give you Free Will? When you have the choice of kicking yourself or moving right along, which alternative are you going to choose? Which have you been choosing?

Look, don’t even mull it over. Choose light every time. Let there be no choice, for, truly, who would choose glumness over light any day? Of course, you have. Every time you complain, you are finding fault, and many choose to find plenty of fault with everything including Me. Perhaps I am missing something. What is the advantage of this? What possible advantage can there be? Oh, well, yes, to vent, I suppose.

“Behind the ostensible government sits enthroned an invisible government owing no allegiance and acknowledging no responsibility to the people. To destroy this invisible government, to befoul the unholy alliance between corrupt business and corrupt politics is the first task of the statesmanship of the day.”— Theodore Roosevelt, 26th President of the United States (1901-1908)

“A power has risen up in the government greater than the people themselves, consisting of many and various powerful interests, combined in one mass, and held together by the cohesive power of the vast surplus in banks.” – John C. Calhoun, Vice President (1825-1832)

“Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.” ~Charles Swindoll

The notion that how we feel is merely caused by events around us or directly involving us, is a scourge of our modern times. To believe that the external world and its perceived relationship to us is the major determinative factor in how we feel (“I can’t believe he/she said that to me—that’s so outrageous!”) is disempowering and self-destructive.

We impose our “shoulds” on what we perceive as “the world out there”, and then when it fails to live up to our arbitrary and abstract standards, we pout, mope, grumble and complain that it “should” have been different. Rather than tweaking our perception, we demand that the thing we perceive should tweak itself! When people fail to conform to our whimsy, we often then fall into yet another error avoided by the mindful: we replay upsetting events (events that we perceived as upsetting) and our emotional response/s to them in our heads over and over, further upsetting ourselves!

8 Signs You May Be Experiencing A Spiritual Awakening

1. You’re more in touch with your spiritual foundations through transformative meditation:

You realize, as Jung noted, that “the experience of the Self is always a defeat for the Ego.” And through the seven primary chakras you are becoming one with the cosmos, receptive to stimuli to which, in the time before, you were insensate.

You’ve felt the powerful kundalini energy rising up from your roots, passing through the sacred waters of the sacral, basking in the fire of the solar plexus, breathing in the vital breath of the heart, absorbing the ethereal voice of the throat, pouring through the dissolution of the Third Eye, and spilling up and out like a mighty fountainhead into the greater cosmos.

2. You are beginning to want more freedom and less stuff
