Whenever there is a progression towards light and truth, opposing forces and energies will naturally be present. In the dimension of forgetfulness, we are constantly being diverted as we move towards truth, pulled by forces of unconsciousness that would hamper or even jeopardize our awakening. A seeker should thus be aware of numerous pitfalls that may await him on the path.
 
 Although they can indeed threaten our progress, these obstacles are not inherently negative, for moving through and beyond them is a natural part of the maturation of our intelligence and consciousness. There are countless types of pitfalls, but we can regard them as falling into three primary domains — understanding, practice and ego.

* Hello Friends!  Another addition I’m making to my blog is to add on fun little one or two card mini-readings.  I pull cards for myself every day, and sometimes a particular one will really jump out.  The message will be feel very strong and pertinent to what appears to be happening around us.  So here’s today’s card.  It also happens to be one that’s showing up in almost all the readings I’m doing for others, too.  Lots of synchronicity!

I have been toying with my knowledge of how emotional states effect manifestation. There is a particular emotion that I know is the most powerful to work with. I have dubbed it THE ZONE. It is where I believe miracles are created. It is that place where you are crying or near tears from overwhelming feelings of undiluted joy. I would like to try to incorporate that feeling into a group meditation. I think we all have a favorite piece of music or video that effectively puts us in that state of consciousness. I have also come to understand that when we are just broadcasting LOVE from THE ZONE it radiates for miles and miles in all directions. This is what quickens the awakening of others, without violating the principle of FREE WILL. It is also beneficial in healing our beloved Gaia of all of the abuse she has suffered.

I would also like to use the 11:11 energy, another powerful tool, to the mix. Dawn breaks each day in New Zealand. So, 11:11 New Zealand time is when we should join in this collective endeavor of co-creation. The object is to stay in THE ZONE, in unity, for as long as possible.

QUIET SUNSPOTS: There are four sunspots visible on the Earthside of the sun. None of them is actively flaring. NOAA forecasters put the odds of an M-class solar flare today at no more than 5%. Solar flare alerts: text, voice.

INCOMING COMET: In little more than a month, Comet PanSTARRS will cross the orbit of Mercury and probably brighten to naked-eye visibility as it absorbs the heat of the nearby sun. Sky watchers around the world will be looking for it in the sunset skies of early March, when it passes closest to the sun and to Earth. Until then a telescope is required; here is the view last night through a 0.3-meter-diameter reflector in Argentina:
