I don’t write so many posts anymore , because I really don’t know what new to write about! Over the years I have been inspired here and there … and I bet if I had a look back through I would think ‘Seriously … did I write that?’

How our perception of so much has transformed into the New Us. We think …  behave … react … impart … receive  … so differently from our former selves and I have a FEELING that ALL that is to come upon us in the very near future will quadruple in ‘transformation ability’ in just a few days/months compared to the years we can reminisce over at this moment in time.

I am finding these days, that I tend to want to be to myself a lot more, and I am reading fewer and fewer websites as well. It reminds me of when I first began my spiritual journey. The first couple of years I read books until my eyes began to cross with fatigue, then suddenly the reading stopped and everything I had absorbed from the books turned into action. The walking the talk as it is referred to. This ascension process seems to be much the same thing. In the beginning there was a gathering close to discuss what was going on and sharing our experiences, but then slowly over time many have seemed to withdraw slightly from the need to know to mostly socializing. Most have begun to go inside to find the answers and rely on their own knowledge and gut feelings to show them the way.

These days we have an abundance of luxuries, but I’ve found that excess actually decreases my enjoyment of life.

Sure, we can get massive amounts of rich foods, feasting to our heart’s content, stuffing ourselves in alarming displays of gluttony… but is that really enjoyable on a regular basis?

And yes, television can be fun, and so can ridiculously large parts of the Internet, but if it’s always on, if we’re always connected, doesn’t that lower the fun factor?

Excesses lead to all kinds of problems, but the biggest problem is that life is less enjoyable.

I’ve been finding that simplifying things means I can savor life more fully.

Savoring life starts with a mindset. It’s a mindset that believes that excess, that rushing, that busy-ness, that distracted-ness, isn’t ideal. It’s a mindset that tries instead to:

(editor's note: The name, Calendula (Calendula officinalis) comes from the Latin "the first day of the month," and refers to it's long blooming season (May through November). It is also sometimes called the pot marigold and is different from the smaller ornamental marigold (Tagetes). It's aromatic fragrance is the active ingredient useful for minor burns and skin wounds.
