We’ve all done it. We’ve all searched for the answers to our most complex life’s questions. Whether through reading the latest self-help book, attending seminars by the latest motivational speaker, sitting at the feet of a great “guru,” or visiting a noted psychic, we have hoped someone could help us find our way.

We’ve all spent the money, time and energy searching.  Yet somehow we always come away still yearning for more.

Like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, while we were looking for our way home, following the yellow brick road, we didn’t realize our answers were already there. Our quest to meet the Wizard – the one who could teach us all we needed to know, ends when we finally stop searching “out there”.

Each and every day we are subject to propaganda, yet many of us are oblivious to the fact that we are being manipulated so frequently. In light of compelling information and evidence which supports largely predictable outcomes, propaganda can be used to confuse, obstruct, and distract individuals and society from clearly understanding the issues at hand. As we face serious and interconnected challenges, it is important to understand the role propaganda plays in society.

Here is the Astrology Forecast for August: August is a month of shifting sands. They bring reminders of the past, wake-up calls from unfinished business and hints of what’s to come this fall. It’s a definite, palpable time of transition, taking us from the upheaval of the last few years to the situations and structures growing out of it.

Think of this as summer break between semesters in school. Enjoy the moments of fun and catching up with friends, and deal decisively with the prep and clean-up work that comes up. As the month progresses, the atmosphere will shift from fixed to flexible and hurry us along.

They’re answering the call of Venus’ retrograde in Leo (through September 6), which is summoning reminders of much that was important to you, once upon a time:  old flames, friends, and people who were a bit of both; talents and pastimes; jobs; even belongings, clothing and toys.

A groundbreaking study published in the journal Anticancer Research reveals that one of the world’s most extensively researched and promising natural compounds for cancer treatment: the primary polyphenol in the ancient spice turmeric known as curcumin, has the ability to selectively target cancer stem cells, which are at the root of cancer malignancy, while having little to no toxicity on normal stem cells, which are essential for tissue regeneration and longevity.

When I met Luna a few years ago she was experiencing great levels of anxiety. When she went to the doctor and explained her situation, they prescribed her with high levels of SSRI anti-depression medication. Months later, after reading all the endless long-term side effects of using those drugs, I immediately suggested she get off them.

My interest in Western psychology began as soon as I moved to Australia in my adolescence. For as long as I can remember I’ve been interested in the study of the minds relation with life. Growing up, I was taught that everything in the world was interconnected, that our perceptions of a divided reality are veils of illusions and dreamlike perceptions we create. My great-grandmother had a saying I still remember to this day:
