How to Reconnect with Nature, Supply our Own Resources and Rebuild Local Communities

Submitted by Galactic Free Press on Tue, 07/07/2015 - 23:34

Humanity has lost its connection to nature. We’re so bombarded with artificial imagery and superficial living that we think that taking in the sunset or going for a bushwalk is all it means to unite with our mother earth. These practices are in and of themselves a great experience, however they don’t truly represent the holistic way in which we should be connecting to the spirit of the natural world and the life that it breathes.

We have disconnected from our food. We have forgotten the cycles of natural systems. We are blind to the divine patterns found in nature. We hardly recognise the innate wisdom of knowing our environment like the back of our heart.

The urbanisation of civilisation is partly the cause. Living in a cement jungle on top of each other is an ironic twist to being more emotionally isolated from each other. The way in which we should be engaging with our local community has been inhibited by the organisational systems that the majority of us subscribe to. And for what? To feed the unsustainable and destructive economic principle of growth by attending a monotonous job from 9 to 5, one in which the bulk of us don’t even enjoy?

Shamelessly Me

Submitted by Galactic Free Press on Tue, 07/07/2015 - 22:15

design-1“So, what do you do?”

This is a question I often get asked.

It’s a question with many answers.

I do a lot.

I breath. I sleep. I eat. I spend my days with my 3 kids.

These answers I know are not what people who ask that question want to hear. Really they want to know what I do that defines me or more precisely what is my job.

Strange really how our jobs define us as people. We are writers, electricians, teachers, administrators, etc.

But are we really? Do any of the above actually define who or what we are?

I say no way. We are so much more than what pays our bills or where we drive to each day.

Yin Yang — Ancient Wisdom for Personal and Planetary Transformation

Submitted by Galactic Free Press on Tue, 07/07/2015 - 19:22

By Jack Adam Weber

Contributing Writer for Wake Up World

You likely don’t know the treasure-trove of wisdom contained in the Yin-Yang symbol. Much of it in fact was not even taught to me in Chinese medicine school. This ancient symbol has been a subject of deep meditation and learning for me over the last couple decades. So, I will share with you here the essence of how valuable this symbol is for our healing and thriving.

Without light and goodness, life is meaningless. Yet so much of the light we need is paralyzed in violence and greed, pain and suffering. The way to release these hidden riches and create more light and love is through transformation. This yields sustainable light, when the dark has been befriended and healed, transformed into an ally.

The Fix to This Mess

Submitted by Galactic Free Press on Tue, 07/07/2015 - 18:57

by Dr. Terry A. Gordon

While walking through the forest last fall, I acknowledged that summer had run its course and was yielding to autumn. The brightly colored leaves made it obvious that change was occurring.

A gust of wind blew through the canopy of trees causing several leaves to let go of their attachment to the trees. As they slowly drifted down, the leaves spoke volumes to me.

If you think about it, the only constant in life is that everything changes. We are different from breath to breath. The river as it flows past   will never be the same river again. Nothing remains the same — ever.

As painful a task as it may seem, change requires that like the leaves, we must let go. It’s unnerving when we contemplate changing prevailing thought. Copernicus tried to do that when he presented proof that the sun and the solar system in fact did not revolve around the earth as religious leaders of the time had taught. He was denounced as a blasphemer by the Church and was forced to recant. Not surprising, it took over 300 years for the Church to finally accept that Truth, an awakening that forever changed the institution.

Conquer Self-Sabotage & Clear Your Soul’s Path To Success

Submitted by Galactic Free Press on Tue, 07/07/2015 - 18:51

The ego loves homeostasis. We self-sabotage so that things will stay the same.  The moment things change, new results are manifested.

Anything that is unknown, which is any type of change, triggers a fear within us. That fear is normal and healthy for our survival. What is unhealthy is when we allow that fear to outweigh our desire to make positive changes. When that happens, we sabotage our efforts and get “stuck”.

Everyone’s ego will kick in at a certain point in their “changing” process:

1. Fearing Change at the Mental Level

Some people are completely closed off to any new, out-of-the-box ideas because they conflict with a pre-existing belief. To them, a brand new idea could potentially create a lot of change at the mental level. Everyone usually knows at least one of these people. When you introduce them to a new concept they will often staunchly argue their point of view without listening to you, or shut the discussion down completely. This is their ego interfering with their ability to accept new ideas because of a deep fear of change at the mental level.

Pfizer Vice President Blows The Whistle & Tells The Truth About The Pharmaceutical Industry

Submitted by Galactic Free Press on Tue, 07/07/2015 - 18:40

Below is a clip taken from the “One More Girl” documentary, a film regarding the Gardasil vaccine, which was designed to prevent Human Papillomavirus. In it, Dr. Peter Rost, MD, a former vice president of one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world (Pfizer), shares the truth about the ties between the medical and pharmaceutical industry.

Rost is a former vice president of Pfizer, and a whistleblower of the entire pharmaceutical industry in general. He is the author of “The Whistleblower, Confessions of a Healthcare Hitman.” Considering his work experience, it would be an understatement to say that he is an insider expert on big pharma marketing.

Below are a couple of quotes from both a former and a current editor-in-chief of the two largest, and what are considered to be the most credible, medical journals in the world. It’s only fitting to include them into the article as they are directly related to what Dr. Rost hints at in the video.

Whose Heart is Whose?

Submitted by Galactic Free Press on Tue, 07/07/2015 - 18:34

God said:

Everyone concedes that everyone wants love, craves love, has to have it. For some of My children on Earth, they would be glad just to be noticed, just to be seen, not even to be made a fuss over, but simply acknowledged for being on Earth and, somehow, making it through.

When you’re walking down the street, and you simply say hello to a stray person, you may have no idea of the good you do for that person and, consequently, the world. So I ask you to be kind, generous, and say hello to all that you see. Even if you acknowledge silently as one might give a grace before meals, do it for this seemingly unknown soul who passes by you.

The person you bless may not consciously be aware of your blessing, yet sometime during the day, there may be a quickening of his step or he thinks of something that is pleasant to him. Whether he notices or not, you noticed him on My behalf. You acted in My Name. You do not know how far or how deep your acknowledgement reaches.

What you can know is that it reaches, just as a breeze may pass by you, and you don’t give it a thought, so occupied are you with other thoughts.

It is such a little thing to notice someone. This isn’t a lot to ask.

7 Essential Steps for Spiritual Growth

Submitted by Galactic Free Press on Tue, 07/07/2015 - 15:25

Theresa Bullard, Ph.D.|We all have an innate desire to grow and to become the very best expressions of ourselves. This is why we spend our lives learning, evolving, and striving to align with a way of life that both supports and fulfills us. To achieve this requires  that we transform from where we are now to where we want to be. Growth, progress, and even our very survival depend on us transforming our lives and our world for the better.

Today, the world is changing fast. Technology continues to advance at speeds that are increasingly difficult to keep up with. Things seem in a constant state of fluctuation. Jobs change, relationships end and new ones begin.  There may be times of financial difficulties or challenges at work. With greater connectivity, faster speed of change, and more daily pressures than ever before, we have become a society of people that are more stressed, depressed, sick, and dissatisfied in life. What happened to creating a life that supports and fulfills us?
