How Mindfulness Works The Science of Good Vibrations

Submitted by Galactic Free Press on Fri, 09/18/2015 - 15:44

Achieving mindfulness through meditation has helped people maintain a healthy mind by quelling negative emotions and thoughts, such as desire, anger and anxiety, and encouraging more positive dispositions such as compassion, empathy and forgiveness. Those who have reaped the benefits of mindfulness know that it works. But how exactly does it work?

There is a measurable benefit that people could achieve through body-mind meditation, especially involving an effective training regimen.

Researchers at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) have proposed a new model that shifts how we think about mindfulness. Rather than describing mindfulness as a single dimension of cognition, the researchers demonstrate that mindfulness actually involves a broad framework of complex mechanisms in the brain.

In essence, they have laid out the science behind mindfulness.

Meditation: The Greatest Healer

I think everyone would benefit from meditation, because it gets us out of the monkey mind and introduces us to the Self and the vibrant spiritual reality so many of us seek without realizing that it’s already a part of us.

It reminds us that life isn’t so bad, despite how much we prefer to think otherwise, and beyond this world’s greed and negativity exist infinite higher dimensions of bliss, harmony and heavenliness unlike anything we’ve felt in our current state of consciousness.

I can only imagine what shape the conscious community would be in if we all learned to meditate, and most ‘spiritual’ people practice some form of meditation that’s unique to them. Music can be a form of meditation, for instance, and so can writing. Any creative act can become a meditation if we clear the mind and open up to our higher consciousness while we do it, and writer’s block encourages us to stop, open the mind back up and regain our presence and centeredness, thus allowing us to approach our work with a fresh perspective.

And the prodigal son returned home.

Hello, this is John with Saul’s message for Friday September 18th 2015. Today I am posting my whole conversation with him because I feel many of you may be experiencing doubts, just as I am, about humanity’s awakening.

Me:   Good evening dear Saul.  Thanks for your last message.  If you wish to commune, I am here intending to be ready to receive.  And, as you must be very aware, I have been avoiding channeling again of late.  What’s going on?  My mood swings, my skepticism, my judgments, my lack of interest in life.  If I’m on my path, and there surely is nowhere else that I can be, should I not be happy in the knowing that I’m eternally One with God, with you, with Jesus, with all of creation?  Is my ego just blocking my access to the spiritual realms with meaningless distractions?  Anyhow, I shall try to relax into a receptive frame of mind and listen to your loving response which I believe is always available to me.  And yet, I’m on edge fearful.  This is stupid, insane – me in conflict with me.  And yet I’ve read that many holy ones on Earth have experienced something similar, only probably far more intensely.  So why should it be any different for me?

It is now illegal for wild animals, such as lions, bears, elephants, and giraffes, to be used in circuses in the Netherlands!

On Tuesday, September 15th, 2015, a ban on wild animals in circuses officially went into effect in the Netherlands. As FourPaws reports, the ban was passed just last week and has left animal rights activists everywhere breathing a bit easier.

Wild animals, such as lions, bears, elephants, and giraffes, will no longer have to endure extensive travel or life in cramped, poorly-laid-out enclosures for the sole purpose of entertaining humans.

Day 121: Remove Your Masks

Submitted by Galactic Free Press on Fri, 09/18/2015 - 11:56

REMOVE YOUR MASKS   Many of you seem to be happy, yet inside are crying deep tears of sorrow. Many of you are confused, yet go out of your way to pretend to be fully understanding of issues you know nothing about. Why is this? One reason is that you are afraid that it will be known that you are not perfect. Sadness is considered to be weak; lack of knowledge is considered to be a sign of ignorance, so you put on costumes and masks to hide what is going on inside. You have become so engrained with these thoughtforms, that over time, you believe the scenarios you have created.

There is an adage, “What you believe, you will become.” There is much truth in this, for when your emotions are aligned with the scenarios you are role-playing, it becomes your reality. In order to break through your belief codes, they must be addressed. You will need to go within and to find what you are aligning your truth with. Look for habits you have that make no sense to you. When you consciously become aware of what you think, say and do, you will begin to notice these discrepancies. Once you find one, take a closer look and decide how you wish to react in future similar situations. Many of you also suffer from the inability to accept well-meaning advice.

31 Incredible Pieces Of Wisdom From Nikola Tesla

Submitted by Galactic Free Press on Fri, 09/18/2015 - 09:20

Nikola Tesla is often called the man who invented the 20th century, and there are lots of good reasons for that. And yet he’s still not nearly as famous as some of his contemporaries, like Marie Curie and Albert Einstein.

Nikola Tesla was a Serbian American inventor, engineer, physicist, and futurist who is most well known for his design of the modern alternating current electric supply system.

He emigrated to the United States in 1884 to work with Thomas Edison in New York City, but with financial backers, he was able to set out on his own.

In the end, he dies alone in room 3327 of the New Yorker Hotel. He died of a coronary thrombosis and his work covered up for decades. Recently, there has been an awakening in interest in his life. These are some of his quotes that we think will help challenge your ideas about science and the world at large.

1. Let the future tell the truth, and evaluate each one according to his work and accomplishments. The present is theirs; the future, for which I have really worked, is mine. – A Visit to Nikola Tesla, by Dragislav L. Petkoviæ in Politika (April 1927)
