Valerie Warwick spent 17 years as an oncology nurse and has recently made a major life change, quitting her job, and beginning her new mission of helping people to understand the link between nutrition and surviving cancer.

What would possess an oncology nurse to give up a lucrative career as a cancer nurse to speak out publicly on behalf of nutrition and natural medicines to cure this modern plague?

Her Story

During her youth, her father had throat cancer and her mother suffered terribly from multiple sclerosis, and at 20 years old she was caring for both of her parents. In those days cancer treatments were very invasive and after her father had much of his neck and throat cut away to ‘heal’ him, he died leaving a lasting impression on Valerie. With a long family history of nursing, she decided that since she was still caring for her mother, she might as well become a nurse herself, and began her medical studies.

A Question of Soul

A transition is a life-altering event, and although the content will differ from person to person, the context is generally the same. A transition comes to shake up our lives, open and move us, and shift who we are being and becoming in the world. It comes to help us, reconnect us to a sense of wholeheartedness, return us to a state of resourcefulness, and redirect us to a whole new track or orientation in life.

As perhaps you can appreciate, a transition is a major experience that leaves us transformed, both inside and out. Transitions are not random events...

HJ: Reality is subjectively experienced and created.  The truth is that we have far more power over every facet of our life experience than we realize.  It is so real and true to every last detail of our beliefs and emotions that it can frequently seem as if it is out of our control, because most of us are not aware of the myriad beliefs and perceptions we hold because they are so deeply ingrained into our psyche.  They literally form the basis of our experience of reality and therefore they go unseen and unquestioned because we believe they ARE reality.  Only through turning our gaze within and observing these patterns can we begin to deconstruct what we believe and bend our reality to our will through the restructuring of the most fundamental levels of our consciousness.  It sounds more complicated than it is, believe me.  The biggest stumbling block for most people is the steadfast clinging to their model of the world, even if it doesn’t serve them.  The only truly necessary ingredients to be successful are a desire to change and a willingness to let things that no longer serve you go.  A bit of motivation always helps...

When you experience things as being magical, you are noticing evidence of the divine being present with you.
