Netherlands Becomes The 1st Country To Open A Solar Road For Public Use
Source: www.collective-evolution.com | Original Post Date: November 9, 2014 –
The world’s first solar bike lane is soon to be available for use in the Netherlands! The bike path that connects the Amsterdam suburbs of Krommenie and Wormerveer is a 70-meter stretch of solar-powered roadway set to open for the public on November 12th, 2014.
The new solar road, which costs €3m (AUD$4.3m), was created as the first step in a project that the local government hopes will see the path being extended to 100 metres by 2016.
More complimentary plans are also on the table as the country intends to power everything from traffic lights to electric cars using solar panels.
"Toxic leak" causes massive cloud covering parts of Moscow
Authorities have urged residents of Moscow to stay indoors with their windows closed, after a smelly noxious fog was reportedly spreading through the parts of the city on Monday, November 10, 2014.
The smell has been detected in the south, east, and south-eastern parts of the Russian capital. According to some sources, about 4600 square kilometers (1892 sq. miles) wide area was covered judging by the huge response from the people reporting it from Zelenograd to Podolsk. The polluting cloud drifted from the south-east towards the center of Moscow.
According to Russian Hydro-Meteorological Service, the cloud first appeared in Moscow's south-east Lublino region early on November 10, where the concentration of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) has exceeded six times of normal levels.
Health Benefits of Drinking Lemon Water (Particularly in the Morning)
By Garrick Dee
Guest Writer for Wake Up World
A glass of lemon water to start your day can help keep the doctor away. Why do I say that? According to Hippocrates “All disease begin in the gut”, and modern research has also concluded that an unhealthy gut environment impacts the immune system and leads to a myriad of diseases.
Drinking vitamin C rich lemon water (especially first thing in the morning) helps your gut by stimulating the production of hydrochloric acid, a critical ingredient needed by our stomach to digest and expel waste. Lemon is known to neutralize free-radicals in our body, and helps greatly in balancing our body’s pH levels (more on that below). And there are more benefits that I want to share with you too.
Understanding the Mechanics of Political and Corporate Lies
Contributing Writer for Wake Up World
“To see what is in front of one’s nose needs a constant struggle.” ~ George Orwell
As with most societal dynamics, there are various approaches and thought-processes we can employ to help us make sense of the unpredictable nonsense that constitutes today’s politics and corporate spin.
There are four forms of political lies.
Those involved in politics – the politicians, reporters and corporate lobbyists – are constantly lying. We all know it, we just don’t all appreciate the scope of it. Of course, there is outright lying which might be done in any number of ways, including complete conjuration and outright elimination of important information. However corporate heads, politicians and their faithful media normally prefer more nuanced presentations to their lies — so it pays to understand just how they go about it.
The Beginning is Near: The Marriage of Science and Spirituality
“The day science begins to study non-physical phenomena, it will make more progress in one decade than in all the previous centuries of its existence.” – Nikola Tesla
Amidst all the doom and gloom of Armageddon, post-apocalyptic scenarios, and talk of the “end times,” there is emerging a glass-is-half-full, positive and encouraging way of looking at the future. “The beginning is near” is the antithesis to “the end is near.” The beginning is near is both humbling and hopeful. It’s humbling in the sense that it admits that we don’t have things figured out yet and that the greatest human wisdom is still to be achieved. And it’s hopeful in the sense that we are close to achieving that wisdom.
Genetically Engineered Potato Now Approved by USDA
The potato, called the Innate potato, was developed by the Boise, Idaho-based J.R. Simplot Company, which applied for the permit last year after three years of field trials. Simplot, one of the country’s largest privately held agribusinesses which virtually invented the frozen French fry, has been a major supplier of those French fries to McDonald’s since the late ’60s. It now supplies more than half the French fries the chain buys.
While the environmental benefits of reduced bruising leading to less crop waste are being touted, some environmental groups decried the decision. Doug Gurian-Sherman, senior scientist and director of sustainable agriculture at the Center for Food Safety raised issues about the particular technology, which works not by introducing foreign organisms but by inserting other types of potato DNA to silence the host potato’s RNA-based control mechanisms, such as the one that produces browning.
“We simply don’t know enough about RNA interference technology to determine whether GE crops developed with it are safe for people and the environment,” said Gurian-Sherman. “If this is an attempt to give crop biotechnology a more benign face, all it has really done is expose the inadequacies of the U.S. regulation of GE crops. These approvals are riddled with holes and are extremely worrisome.”

(Another) Ancient Manuscript Claims Jesus And Mary Magdalene Were Married, Had Kids
According to a 1,500 year old manuscript, Jesus was a devoted family man with two children, and he took Mary Magdalene as his wife. This manuscript claims a previously unknown plot of Jesus’s life, taking place 13 years before his death. This revelation was brought forth by Simcha Jacobovic, a Professor of Religious Studies at Toronto’s York University.
This manuscript claims that Mary Magdalene was also the Virgin Mary. The authors of this lost gospel even assert the names of the children of Christ, and depicts an assassination attempt on Mary and the children. It also details his high political connections, like his friendship with Emperor Tiberius.
The Ecclesiastical History of Zacharias Rhetor of Mytilene, the manuscript in question, has been in the British Museum and British Library for almost 170 years...
Lighten Up! Day 71, Chuen 6
LIGHTEN UP! Are you ready to release some of the old baggage you have so dearly been clinging to? Well, let’s get on with it. Time’s a’wastin’! There’s just too much fun that you are missing out on! Let’s go!
Where shall we start? How about the usual place, inside yourself, for that is where the seeds have been planted and where the roots are growing. Let’s do some weeding today so you can better nurture your growth.
Take some deep breaths, using whatever method suits you to become relaxed while releasing the concerns of the day. Take a few moments to do this. When distracting thoughts come in, gently release them. If need be, focus completely on your breath as you inhale and exhale.
Ahhhhh, doesn’t that feel better? You know, you can do this anytime you are feeling out of sorts and full of anxiety. Teach it to your friends, your children, your co-workers. It’s easy and you can do it while driving, walking, eating or any other activity. You will be much better able to make clear decisions and to find areas that need your attention when you are not all caught up in tension.
Take about five or ten minutes to set the intention that you will have a day of fun and in-joy-ment. Visualize yourself smiling and giggling all day. If there is an activity that is likely to be heavy or dark, see yourself happy, no matter how glum everyone around you may be. Well, that’s it! Class dismissed! Go out and have some fun! Be in joy! Enjoy! Selamet! Chuen 6, Day 71
