…will the US be next?

Australia’s population is roughly 23 million – while the US has approximately 318 million potential medical marijuana patients. All the same – lawmakers in the country have just legalized medical marijuana for the entire country, with a vote made by the Australian Parliament last Wednesday.

The Sydney Morning Herald reports that Senate lawmakers have officially put their seal of approval on amendments to the Narcotic Drugs Act, which, in turn, will engender the creation of an authority to oversee the licensing of cannabis farms and the nationwide distribution of medical marijuana products. People will be allowed to grow their own medicinal marijuana from Perth to Melbourne to Queensland near the Great Barrier Reef.

Do you remember when you first woke up, that point when it all became frighteningly clear to you? I certainly don’t, and if rigorous honesty is employed I doubt you do as well.

I make this statement with a high degree of certainty based not just upon my own personal experience, but from countless conversations over the years. Stated simply, ‘waking up’ is not an on/off switched event, but rather a process of slowly clearing away the fog of self deception and comforting illusion. Just as we do not instantly wake from our overnight slumber fully aware and properly functioning, so too do we fail to shake off decades of deep social conditioning and propaganda in an instant.

So many of you dear, tender humans carry such shame and sadness for your perceived failures. You see every event where you are less than your idea perfect as a sign of your lack of divinity. This is such faulty thinking!

You see, there is never a time when you are not divine! You are all individuated aspects of Source energy. This would amount to a tree refusing to absorb water and sunlight and withering away because it thought it was not a tree.

The goodness you seek is always inside you. It has never not been there. As soon as you take a moment to still yourself and delve deep within your precious heart, you will find the very thing you have been seeking all along. Once you embrace that and allow it to lead the way, you will finally be able to experience yourself in your truth and brilliance, as you gloriously find your way home to yourself. ~Archangel Gabriel

Of course, you want to speak up. Of course, speaking your mind doesn't mean you have a tirade. You are not to blow up at life any more than you are to blow up at people. By now you’ve probably heard the phrase “being in the now”. Although it seems pretty self explanatory and simple to do (because the “now” moment is actually the only moment that we ever can be in, technically), this is something that many of us still struggle with. Ironically, the fact that we need to be told to be in the one place that there ever is to be in, speaks volumes of our species. But, hey, we’re getting there, right?

So if we need to be told to live in the now and that means that most of us are not living in the now moment, then where exactly are we? In our thoughts about the now, of course. Or, our thoughts about the “now” that happened two years ago, or the “now” that happened two hours ago, or even the “now” that may or may not happen five years from, well, now. For many, an entire life can happen all inside of their head.
