How clean and pleasant is the air in your house? NASA had this question when they were looking to purify the air in their spacecrafts for astronauts who were going to be living in space for long periods of time. They discovered that there are certain houseplants that work better in keeping air clean and fresh .

One thing many people don’t realize is that especially during winter months the air in your house doesn’t circulate and filter well. So when you use cleaning products and things like that, you are toxifying the air pretty quickly without having anything to help clean or circulate the air. You and your family then breathe this air all day long.

Whether you are in a small apartment or a big house, it’s something to consider and having clean, fresh air is very important. Plants are great for removing carbon dioxide from the air but some plants are even more powerful than that and can do a great job improving the air quality in your home. Plus they look great!

The self-help and “mind-body-spirit” scenes are billion dollar industries, but how has the commodification of spirituality affected our ability to practice it? As sacred principles are co-opted and watered down to sell feel-good mass-market products, those unwilling to sellout spiritual principles are pushed further to the margins – where they are increasingly maligned as “cultist” for putting spirituality ahead of materialism.

Alternative spiritual teachings and groups that encourage a way of life outside of mainstream values are being marginalized and suppressed from all sides.

On one side, what is deceptively being presented to the general public as a viable and appealing alternative to mainstream religious institutions is largely owned by corporations and individuals looking to profit from people’s natural interest in spirituality, making it nothing more than a cleverly disguised offshoot of the mainstream itself.

The true nature that most of you have at birth is pure joy and love. Each one of you comes from the same Source, beautiful and full of love and light. Know that you have within you the power to regain control of your life. It will take time and effort to undo the things that you have allowed, but it is well worth the effort to make the change if you truly want to experience peace and joy on a daily basis.

In ancient Mayan times, as well as many other cultures, each birth was celebrated. Every child upon entry into this world knew they were loved. Each knew they came to this earth for a purpose. Each was supported by the entire tribe. How much better this world would be if you returned to the simple act of loving your babies unconditionally. This cannot happen until you love yourselves unconditionally.

You can do it! Each and every one of you has the ability to go within and do some major housecleaning. Swipe away those cobwebs of disillusionment, sweep away those thoughts of low-self esteem and mop up all those memories of sadness and despair. It is time to wash your windows and let your light shine. Remove the walls and the moat full of alligators and let others in.

God said:

There is so much in life and in books that you cannot grasp in the palm of your hand, and you may like to philosophize with Me about Life. Oft times you endeavor to change My mind, for you are sure you know more than I do, or you may even question if I know anything at all about how it is in the world for you, a human being.

You may hold strongly to the idea I know nothing and that I seem to perpetuate a kind of fraud on you. Or, if you do not think that way, you may have decided that a friend or someone you've read or heard speak, knows better than I do.

Of course, everything is open to interpretation, yet where does believing in Me have to do with popular opinion or votes and such temporal points of view? Everyone seeks to know himself.

You may feel a necessity to believe in what satisfies your ideas. You may rather believe in karma than responsibility for your own life. You may well believe in guilt over innocence and punishment in the hereafter over peace. You like to believe in what you believe. Something not in line with what you believe may seem like sacrilege or simply something too untenable or inconvenient for you to deal with. In any case, for reason or no reason, you may feel that you or someone in life who holds a strong opinion must know better than God. You may adhere to other views and find My ideas unpalatable.
