Consciousness is an area scientists and psychologists struggle to understand and with the topic being so hard to measure, it has always been one area of science that people constantly question. There are six main studies that have begun to pave the way to understanding consciousness, but it’s clear we still have a long way to go before we can truly comprehend the idea.

1. Dr William Broad’s study on slowing down the rate that red blood cells die

Dr Broad is one of many scientists who have discovered a direct link between our energy and the physical world, his study specifically focused on proving that humans can physically affect objects through their thoughts and energy alone. The study has since become known as the BIO-PK study and proved that when placed in a lab dish, people could affect the rate at which red blood cells died. Whilst the results were small, they opened up a whole range of questions and doors to further topics in this field.

It’s a topic of furious debate and discussion, not only among consumers, but also public health specialists, nutritionists and industry experts, many who stand strong by their opinion that genetically modified organisms (GMO) foods should be labeled. Here’s why labeling GMO foods is an exercise in futility and why there’s only one way to ensure the public is informed about what’s in their food.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration currently requires labeling of GMO foods if the food has a significantly different nutritional property; if a new food includes an allergen that consumers would not expect to be present (e.g., a peanut protein in a soybean product); or if a food contains a toxicant beyond acceptable limits.

Here in the United States, medical marijuana quickly went from something that was ridiculed to something that was accepted as having a potential basis in reality, and now, we have doctor after doctor coming out in favor of its widespread medical uses.

One of them is Dr. Sanjay Gupta, who you might’ve seen on CNN a few times and who recently started to endorse medical marijuana.

Dr. Gupta explained the journey to understand the plant’s medicinal properties in a 2014 article on CNN.com.

“This scientific journey is about a growing number of patients who want the cannabis plant as a genuine medicine, not to get high.

“It is about emerging science that not only shows and proves what marijuana can do for the body but provides better insights into the mechanisms of marijuana in the brain, helping us better understand a plant whose benefits have been documented for thousands of years.

Spirituality is a very personal affair regardless of the various pathways or disciplines that one may follow. Yet even though there is an abundance of avenues for spiritual endeavor, there is generally a universal agreement on the principle of unity.

There are many ways that one may be introduced to this philosophy. We may have been brought up around it via our family. We might have had a profound revelation in a one-off experience. Some are initiated through ongoing paranormal activity. Others just intuitively feel it. Altered mind states could have been the catalyst. A gradual or instant revolution could have occurred in our mind where synchronicity deposed coincidence. There could have also been an influence by assorted texts and teachings which infer this similar conclusion. For most of us, uncovering the wisdom of unity most likely occurred via a combination of channels.
