The energy representing how you think and communicate, Mercury, joins Mars in Taurus on April 14th where he will transit before his long transit of Gemini beginning April 30th. Mercury brings conscious awareness and potential discussion to the Mars energy of desire, assertiveness and personal will.

The 21st and 22nd are strong days for Mercury when he first trines Pluto signaling a few days of concentration, financial flow, effective planning, and powerful discussion. On the 22nd he conjuncts Mars in Taurus (16 degrees) supercharging your mental prowess, pragmatic reasoning, communications and travel. Your words can come across more strongly than you intend on the 22nd. Others will be expressing themselves more intensely as well – be aware if you are feeling angry or frustrated.

Mercury in Taurus communicates carefully, making sure of each word before saying it. There is a slowing of your perceptions as your mind retains, steadies and consolidates ideas, this is a down to earth approach to planning and practicality. Spontaneity is tempered with your desire for a more deliberate understanding.

All seeds contain a form to be expressed, and that form may be a plant, a flower or a tree. When we bury a seed in the ground, we have, at that moment, set it free – to be that which it was meant to be. A seed only comes to life when placed in the ground. If a seed sits on a table, it is useless. It remains dormant within its own casing. The moment it is buried all natural forces quickly begin to work on helping the seed reveal its innate qualities to the world.

Humans are also seeds of creation. We came into this world to express ourselves to the fullest that we know how. We were established with our unique greatness the moment we were born. Now, we have a personal duty to ourselves to create and express our greatest potentials.

HJ: We do not see life as it is — we see life as we are.  And yet most people assume we see the world objectively.  And therein lies a great source of pain and suffering because we are projecting our thoughts and beliefs onto the world around us, believing that this is how the world is, when it is just us playing a game with ourselves.  And so we constantly fool ourselves into believing what we already believe is true, is true.  And we create our reality and then let it control us.  But it doesn’t have to be this way.  When you start seeing life as a reflection of your own heart and mind — when you understand that you read whatever meaning into situations you choose to believe, you can then use ‘reality’ as a tool for self-reflection and growth.  This is one of the most powerful shifts you can make because it switches you from a victim into a powerful creator.  And it is how you shift your reality by shifting yourself.  And in the great article below, Nanice dives into even more detail on this subject.

The beauty of using surrender and flow is that it allows you to work hand in hand with your guides and helpers, even if you do not have the ability to consciously hear or feel them. The more you stay in the high vibrating energies of surrender and flow, the more you are creating the exact conditions necessary to start to recognize and feel the energies of spirit.

The irony is people wait to hear their guides before they are willing to surrender into the flow, avoiding the very thing that allows a very tangible experience of spirit to occur.

The only place to be is in the present, the past is a memory and the future is a dream. People say their call to god or their prayers are going unanswered and lose faith so easily, but how can you expect god or the power to help you if you aren’t home and the door goes unanswered? If you are busy thinking of yesterday or tomorrow you are never really in the present.

I am not a philosopher or a mystic. I am just a regular girl. And the last few years have been hard – quite hard. But through this time I have understood that it was all necessary for me to be where I am today, and if even one event didn’t go the way it did I wouldn’t have been on this wonderful journey. I had a persistent voice in my head asking me to share my learnings, lessons of my favourite books and quotes that helped me believe in magic.
